I know MTV Classic usually rebrands to MTV Christmas, but I don't ever remember VH1 rebranding to VH1 Christmas in the past (I only recall VH1 Classic rebranding to VH1 Christmas before it became MTV Classic).
VH1 did rebrand last year (the reason why the branding exists), I don’t think they did before that, they just played festive shows and music.
The reason why the branding exists is that VH1 Classic used to always rebrand to VH1 Christmas (before it was rebranded to MTV Classic), so it sounds like they've resurrected the brand, which is a bit unnecessary now that they've got MTV Christmas as well.
Sorry, I didn’t exactly make that clear, yes the VH1 Christmas brand existed before, but I meant that VH1 rebranding last year is the reason the current graphics used on MTV Rocks are in the old style, as they use the old layout and animations from before the main channel went fully entertainment.
Anyways, this has gotten a bit off track from the Scuzz conversation.
