Enjoyed the Christmas/New Year special tonight - even if you are not a fan of Brooker, his views or his presenting style, you can't really fault the points he makes about TV and the industry - well, I can't.

Liked the "I Love..." parody with Barry S***peas, the soaps review with Grace Dent was spot on and good to see Aisleyne as the "calendar girl". Think the show dealt with the main TV themes of the year (reality TV, phone-in scandals, the high quality of unsung C4 drama) comprehensively, I couldn't think of anything major that was omitted.

Here's the rather awful "quiz presenter pukes on live tv".

Warning: this clip may contain nuts and diced carrot.

Very funny. I'm glad I spotted it on the EPG earlier. Alot more honest than many of those review shows! Laughing

I set a "Timer" on my freeview box for this..yeah..like that worked.

I missed the first 5 mins but a fantastic show. The tribute to Ronnie Hazlehurst at the end was a bit odd.. or did I miss the satire in that?

Loved Barry Sh!tpeas!

Few of the best lines of the show for me...
" Here we are Mr Wiliams.. shhhhsh.. I'm entertaining - ooh give her one from me Mr Williams!"

"Posh's acting is so bad..she gives the trolley the starring role.."

"Oh yes Alan hahahahaha oh Alan you're a cu..aard!"

I don't think the rendition of 'Sorry!' at the end was meant to be satirical, just an excuse to hear a very funky theme tune Cool

Brilliant show but really deserved an hour slot, but never mind Smile

The Barry Sh*tpeas stuff was brilliant. And i find it hilarious when Charlie Brooker names people in CBB or other shows by not-very-famous-anymore people they look like. It shows he knows his TV history, i mean he even described a BB contestant as a character from "Chorlton and the Wheelies" Laughing

Brooker is a genius. I'd have his children if I could find a spare uterus.

Can anyone name the theme for Entertainment USA as used here in this pastiche?

"I'll Slap Your Face"

It's on the PPs somewhere.

Always enjoy Charlie Brooker's comments, but thought this show was too downbeat.

Thanks.

One more thing - what does that mean?
