ITV to launch a new kids Breakast programme Scrambled! to air during the weekends. Presented by 4 yet to be named presenters the programme will begin late next month and is expected to air from 7.30am in a two hour slot. It will be filmed in a flat in Brighton and will run on Sundays aswell.

Presumably this will be filmed in TV Forum's very own David's flat.

With a name like that, could they be going for a cookery element? Or maybe they hack into the itv network via a scrambled service.

Looks like they finally realised axing Toonattik was a mistake, so they're launching a replacement. The name Scrambled is merely a reference to people eating eggs as part of a traditional breakfast, I doubt cooking will be involved at all. Based on the timeslot, it's also a possible reference to TV-am, which used eggs in it's famous copyright slide.

I very, very much doubt it's a reference to TVAM! Laughing

I'm really surprised ITV are doing this considering they're unwilling to entirely fund new kid's shows (unless they've changed their policy quite recently). I wonder if there'll be a lot of commercial involvement. Do we know which production company is making this? Brighton's a bit random.

Although I suspect this is more of a show linking programmes than anything more substantial surely ITV can't be making that much money from their cheap Saturday morning line up that they couldn't at least give it a shot at 9.25am.

I've heard the ITV rowers ident is a reference to the Tyne Tees flowing rivers ident based on the same river.

I think ITV are releasing its current line up on a Saturday morning is just dire, Maybe it will end up like wide awake club: CHEEP , CHEEP and cheerful Razz

Cheap doesn't have to mean crap: some of the most engaging kids TV I remember from my childhood was a bloke, sometimes a puppet, and a locked off camera.

Although it must be said Sooty has been essential viewing for this Household recently. That is quality Kids TV.

I never said cheap is bad. Wide awake club was run on a small budget and it was top rated shows.

I hope this works, I really do. I do find it weird why ITV are investing in this though.
