Scottish TV to ITV1 Scotland - The Petition

I think it's high time there was an ITV1 Scotland (like there is an ITV1 Wales). Scottish and Grampian TV are crumbling. Besides, nobody I know calls it either 'Scottish TV' or even 'STV'. They all call it 'ITV1' or 'ITV'. There is no reason why we need to endure these awful excuses for idents any longer. We need to move on.


Well EVERYBODY i know still calls it STV or Scottish Television as we dont get ANY traielrs for 'ITV1' except during GMTV - all promos, trails everything even for network programems are all branded as Scottish TV - there is no mention as soon as STV take over from GMTV of ITV1! The only real reference to ITV is the news and website's at bottom of network programmes.

I say keep it Scottish TV! With our own idents and decent announcers!

I can't speak for the central belt but here in Aberdeen we all still refer to the station as Grampian NOT itv or itv1!!!

It would be nice to see some new idents on the SMG stations but I think it is great that we now are going alone again - there is nothing special about the networked presentation!!!

New idents or maybe some IVC for SMG - now that would be something!!

But the thing is, I don't want the name changed just show the ITV brand a bit more and hire some more upbeat announcers.

I find the network promo's grampian and scottish produce really boring and no enthusiasm compared to the ITV ones.

So, you think sticking an "ITV1" logo on them will make it all better? A turd by any other name would smell as vile...
