Reports at the weekend said ESPN were offering something like 90% of their current value, while Sky were only offering 60-70%, so that would put ESPN as favourites you'd think.
A lot depends on the Premier League though - if ESPN get those, having the SPL to add to their portfolio makes sense. Whether they'd want the SPL without the EPL, I doubt it.

Its irrelevant now that ESPN HAVE won EPL rights, but Setanta managed fine showing the SPL and not the EPL. Indeed, its financial difficulties began only when it started buying rights for the EPL.
At today’s AGM, the clubs agreed a £65 million deal with Sky and ESPN to screen 60 live Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches each season across the UK and Ireland.
The deal will last until the end of season 2011/12 with the SPL having an option to extend for a further two seasons.
Sky and ESPN will both cover 30 live Clydesdale Bank Premier League games each season.
Obviously I would think the old firm games will be split down the middle with ESPN reciving 2 and SKY reciving 2. No doubts who will be fronting the SKY Coverage ....
Charlie Nichollas and Jim White Wouldn't surprise me if ESPN snap up Rob Mclean
