Ah, the "ENJOY" thing... when I first heard it I thought that we had an announcer with a degree of personality trying something different. When I heard it two links in a row, it began to sound like he'd mis-timed his link and put the added word in to fill a gap. Either way, it ain't good.

Actually, it was "ENJOY" at junction one, and "ENJOY NOW " at junction two.Now, WHY do I know this? Laughing


I don't know "Colin" actually ShockedI'm familiar with Jim and Annie as i used to listen to them both on Westsound as for the rest at STV i don't know them.

I caught a little bit of Scottish last night - nice to go back in time what with the old Generic Daytime and Night idents and dark version 'Next' slide! Thought the script was a bit odd into Tonight - ending something like "and taking us to Coronation Street at 8.30, it's Tonight", almost making it sound like some filler programme before the viewers return!

After the Scotland Today bulletin,weather and promos the graphics appeared for the pollen count. An edit clock then appeared and the announcer cleared his throat a couple of times (think it's pre recorded).The tape was then fast forwarded into the pollen count and we got a little of it before being cut off to go to the breakbumper.

The show must go on i suppose it would be nice if STV could just be a little bit professional though.

Speaking of which i see we have got those dreadful promos back for Scotsport Extra Time with Sarah O.Her delivery and pace is just so poor it's all to rushed and very breathy.

On the subject of Scotsport SPL - the worst sports programme in the UK - there's a campaign ongoing against it.

And quite rightly so. This has got to be the worst "sports" programme ever.

Half the show is dedicated to the Ugly Sisters of Scottish football, and whoever they play. Then, normally after the Witching Hour you get the other 8 teams for 5 minutes, and 15 of stupid competitions like the longest throw in, and keeper keepie-uppies.

The sooner BBC Scotland do football fans a favour by getting the rights back again, the better.

Did I not read on here sometime ago that the two SMG stations were going to get new idents this year or am I just wishful thinking?

It would be nice to hear some new voices on SMG....the same old drab announcements are very very stale. How about getting Scott Brown (ex Grampian or the excellent Diana Speed) to voice some nights for them? Are all the links live??

I'm sure someone posted a thread saying that Grampian was getting a new look but it never came.
