I Just saw wheel of Fortune today & instead of 'A Scottish TV Production' it said 'A SMG TV Production' does this mean that Scottish & Grampian have gone

The SMG logo has been creeping in there at the bottom of endboards for a while although I hadn't noticed that they had dropped the Scottish TV branding. This seems unlikely though, doesnt it?

Was this a network or a regional programme?

It was at the end of Wheel of Fortune today on Carlton London but it wern't a repeat it had that woman Terri who replaced Jenny Powell & Paul Hendy who used to do Stash the Cash (Probably London only) who has replaced John Leslie (at last) although the show is still sh*te bu no more crap jokes

Yep - new series on the network.

It seems corporate activity has taken over the production endcaps, SMG swallowing them up

The excellent game show 'Stash' appears on YTV from time to time too.
I haven't seen it for a while though!

Is Stash that really awful , amateur game show where Paul 'the Prat' Hendy used to travel through various shopping centres and make a fool of himself for about two minutes?

stash is also shown on central as a filler, not the best gameshow in the world, but then it is only on for 2 minutes or so.
i thought it was ade by action time (which i think was partly owned by central - though im not sure), but its now part of the carlton group now anyway

I'm not aware of him travelling to various shopping centres, I thought it was the same one every time. They were probably all made on the same day.

As 'filler' programmes go, its the best one, better than 'A round up of the regions news is here in a couple of minutes but first we've a little extra time to look at the history of clocks' or something equally daft.

ITV2 use music videos as fillers.

Yorkshire/Tyne Tees tried that for a while a few years back (the music videos).

What I want to know is, what happened to the cartoons as fillers!!! Couple of toons interspersed with a few birthday greetings, much better than some of the rubbish we get now. Granted that doesn't work at nights but during the day it was ideal!!!

I like Stash! And yeah, I have seen SMG appearing on endboards a bit lately, but confusingly also on recent STV/Gramp productions (particularly the shorts Silly Billys and Furry Tales they put on before CITV in those regions) - perhaps they're using SMG for network shows and local logos for local shows?
This is a local ident! For local people!

We got cartoons in STV/Gramp the other evening before the sad Gaelic programmes, entitled on Sky N+N listings as 'Walt Disney Cartoons'

The Sunday evening Gaelic programmes on SMG are truly awful, even with theEnglish subtitles there's nothing worth looking at. As a young person wanting to learn Gaelic, this isn't much encouragement. Sad
