Another cock-up for BBC World, where this time, both Nik and Martine were reading the headlines and talking over the tunderclaps, (which were pretty loud). It did sound rather unprofessional!

ITV had John Prescotts acceptance speech, when he had special reason for thanking the police ! BBC didn't bother.

They taped it and showed it about 2 minutes later.

Yes you're right. It's coming up to the busy time when all the results start flooding in, so it's unlikely that all the networks will be showing the same counts etc.

Sky are getting loads of exclusive leaks.
I.e. someone leaked that Woodward had won his seat to sky 30 mins before annoucement, and they were right.
BBC also taped Woodward acceptance, Sky had it live.
ITV by far winning with the calls, very very fast.
Sky went into overdrive about 10 mins ago annoucing about 20 seats in under a min, they got caught up!

Do they really wait over 30 mins before giving the numbers out!? I know the prize for 1st call has gone but surely the results come quicker than that!

It depends, I know for a fact that Chester knows its result, as my sister is counting them.
They knew just before 3, however are not yet declaring.
On the graphics front Sky won for 'LABOUR WINS ELECTION' graphics.
I managed to tape all of the annoucements!

I woke up at 5.59am as expected

ITV showed their full closing credits with an extended version of the music, then went straight into GMTV at 6.

GMTV used their 'GMTV Today' titles adapted for the Election, Eamon and Fiona presented throughout without any adverts, but there were some 'win a car' features as normal.

Local news wasn't much more substantial than unusual, Raj Shukla presented for Calendar

On BBC 'Vote 2001' finished and went straight to a Breakfast with a special version of the titles.

Regional Bulletins were longer than usual, Peter Levy presented Look North

BBC News24 and BBC Parliament showed Newsroom South East

At 9, BBC News24 went straight from 'Breakfast' to a 30 second countdown and BBC News 24 as normal.

BBC Parliament are simiulcasting BBC News24

BBC One North went into a quick trailier, before Peter Levy annouced 'Across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North Midlands this is BBC One with a Look North Election Special presented by Peter Lugg'

The programming is coming from the Look North studio without any special opening titles

GMTV Finished at 919 and is showing their 6 minute advert break!
