This Morning were back today with new captions. In an interview with Nikki Chapman, Philip commented at the end that he's on the other side during Pop Idol!

Talking about the other side, Does it look like nobody generally watched Test the Nation this time around. I've seen most of them but this time all three programmes which it crossed with on ITV1 were worth watching and couldn't feasibly be taped. Media Guardian seem to not be bothering to report on Saturday's ratings

Yes, MediaGuardian are bloody annoying. Saturday would have been interesting to see how Pop Idol faired against Test the Nation, and to see how the England match performed for BBC One.

Although I notice that Fame Academy didn't really do any better even when it was only up against regional news on ITV1.

According to the Guardian: "Fame Academy beat ITV1 opposition from Pet Rehab, which was watched by 3 million viewers"

Of course it was!. Its about time they realised what were regional programmes as Pet Rehab was only on LWT

Teletext said the England match "peaked" at 9 million while Wales was watched by 4.3million on BBC2.

Well I think ITV should ditch this new show asap and show Shortland St at 5pm with a 2.30pm repeat the following day.

Really ? You do surprise me Rolling Eyes

S E - Ive been watching SS for the best part of 10 years so of course I want to see it in the schedule.

There isn't an appropriate emoticon here so I'll use two new ones of my own.

Jez mentions Shortland Street and how great it is (or not).

Everybody else goes http://www.planetcrossroads.co.uk/forum/html/emoticons/yawn.gif

Actually, I should like to retract use of the emoticons above in regards to Jez's post because I've found a much better for them, and it's a certain little gimp in the "Your likes and dislikes of ITV1" thread that goes by the initials of JM.

Not that their usage in this thread wasn't appropriate of course Smile

I see we have a schedule change on ITV1 this coming Saturday. "Design Wars" has been replaced with "The Best of TV's Naughtiest Blunders". I mean just who decided that a home makeover show would be good at 9.30pm on a Saturday night anyway ? Rolling Eyes

Apparently the Lorraine Kelly daytime show has done ok, but the Mark Durden Smith shows are to go out as hour long specials at 5pm on Monday 29th & Friday 5th October.

Looks like Durden Smith has got reverse midas touch, everything he touches turns into a flop.

Also, the first episode of new Dale Winton daytime quiz "I'm the Answer" goes out on Sunday 5th October at 6:20pm on ITV1 and continues at 5pm weekdays.

Also another new daytime show starts on Monday 6th October, "Moving Day" at 2.30pm.

I wonder how they'll deal with the 2.30pm repeats, what with Monday's now being an hour and Tuesday's not on due to football, yet the 2.30pm repeats are still scheduled everyday
