This is ITV1's schedule on week commencing Monday 1st September:

Snip out all the rest - it seems well, a bit samey?

Yeah but they've got the Rugby World Cup starting in about 6 weeks, don't forget - that will mess up quite a bit of the schedule, I'm sure.

If my memory serves me correctly, aren't most of the Rugby matches on in the morning, so will interrupt GMTV, Trish & This Morning mainly.

Well, many matches will show on ITV2, Rugby won't be a big ratings puller for ITV1. I expect that highlights will be shown late and not during prime time.

Well, there appears to be a schedule change tomorrow night on ITV1. I thought they were planning to show the Major's Millionaire *coughing* episode after the first of the new series of Millionaire tomorrow.

Well, that appears now to have been pulled. The ntl:home EPG is telling me, that It Shouldn't Happen to a Weather Forecaster is on instead, whilst Digiguide is telling me there is a Stars in Their Eyes Coronation Street Special. Rolling Eyes

Yes, no doubt we'll now have the same people on here who said that ITV were flogging a dead horse now complaining that they have changed the schedule. Ceefax are going with It Shouldn't happen to...

And remember those 4 new shows all in one week, well they are on at the following times:

Rosemary and Thyme - Sunday at 9 continuing on Fridays at 9

Trial and Retribution VII - Monday at 9 and Tuesday at 9

Sweet Medicine - Thursday at 9

The Booze Cruise - Sunday at 9

Other new shows:

Heartbeat NEW SERIES - Sunday 7th at 8
Two part drama Suspicion - Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th at 9
Into the Danger Zone - Sunday at 10.30
Airline NEW SERIES - Friday at 8.30

Wednesday night seems to be movie night on ITV1 as well

There is a Millionaire special on Tuesday 9th September at 8pm. The three Millionaires (minus the Major) return for a 5th anniversary special. playing for charity.

Seems like ITV1's new season has got off to a good start, with the refresh of presentation and some big ratings.

Pop Idol - 8m
Rosemary & Thyme - 10m
Coronation Street - 13m
Alright on the Night - 9m
Trial & Retribution - 7.6m

Booze Cruise looks like a sure ratings winner this weekend and Heartbeat is always popular. With the return of This Morning & Des & Mel in daytime next week, things are starting to look up for the network.

Who was it saying that nobody watches ITV ?

Also I think Sweet Medicine will be a big ratings winner on Thursday.

Not sure which thread this was mentioned in before but from next week the regional slot at 2.30pm is definately gone and we have a 1hr "Everything Must Go" from 2pm.

And im glad ratings for ITV are on the up Very Happy

And Heartbeat returns on Sunday which is a surefire ratings winner.

Tommorow, another chance to see The Full Monty is up against Shops, Robbers and Videotape on BBC1. Thursday sees Sweet Medicine starting and then on Saturday Dennis Nordan presents a 16th collection of cockups and also the kids Eurovision presented by Mark and Tara of 'Get Me Out of Here Now' fame

It seems that the return of "I Want that House" has bolstered ITV tea time ratings, with the show averaging 2.3m.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire returned with 6.5m.

So things are on the up for daytime? And with similar shows in the design wars thing and the 24 hour quiz coming, looks like itv may be getting goof rating everywhere! Well done itv! Getting back on top!

I cant wait till This Morning returns live (though it was great seeing the paul o grady and cat deeley interview with Cilla; Paul & Cat were great together, shame it was only for one show with Paul Ross and someone else the week after), and today with des & mel. According to sky guide, Jerry Springer's on the first show!

One thing I wont be able to cope with is an hour of everything must go, and by sky guide (again) it seems that Jamie isnt on this series.

Id like to see an old comedy, sort of babera style either shownt or a new one developed for the 2:30 slot if they are getting rid of regional slots. Thsi may not be permanent, but itv may feel that regional slots arent living up to the ratings, especially against doctors and murder she wrote/diagnosis murder
