God, whats wrong with them both? Giving time to CiTV, thinking of the viewers? I remember when every holiday had Mr Motivator, and Power Rangers/Beetleborgs that was preceeded by an american girls cartoon , such as the dragonflies, something to do with fairies, and MAXIE, remember this one, could have been on tvam at first, unsure. The teenage girl that ran her own cable show after school, I always remember the pizza episode.

These didnt used to start until Lorraines time, about 8:30 ish, 8:05 is a bit much isnt it?

Perhaps together they are trying to take viewers away from CBBC who have their schedule till 10am from this monday.

It will be a shame as Im on holiday for a week, and wont get much chance to watch!

Oh God, the bad memories of Derek being on between the pictures. As I have said before I still have the last hour of GMTV from Friday 29th October 1993 (God 10 Years goes too quick) and on that there's the Mini Motivators Club which lasted for about eight minutes then there was a segment called Parkin's In (Which had a damn good remix of the early GMTV theme) presented by Simon Parkin infront of a CSO backdrop full of balloons. But the programmes on that and the programmes they show now are well different. The cartoons they showed on that was

Super Mario
Alvin and The Chipmunks
Tom and Jerry Kids.

But as many would agree with me that GMTV's kids shows were NOTHING compared to TV-am's. As TV-am found money to make a show called Wacaday which went out for 35 Minutes every weekday for about 6 weeks straight. Which I still have an episode of on tape and there is actually an educational value hidden in it.

Dale Winton's "I'm the Answer" seems to have gone from the schedules as of week commencing Monday 3rd November. In it's place, in the ever changing 5pm slot, is "Boot Sale Treasure Hunt", which sounds very much like Bargain Hunt. Ruth England and Ian Harvey present this new series.

Oh...that’s interesting. Dale was going on that he has made 59 episodes of the show (Which I think would have taken it up till Christmas) but well, it was a good show but VERY boring everyday and that’s probably the reason why the viewers were going. I wish ITV1 would not put the same stuff on at 5pm everyday. Why not rotate 2 programs, have 1 Mon/Wed/Fri and the other Tues/Thurs. At least we wont get bored of seeing the same crap all the time.

Is 'I want that house' still dragging on? See that gets boring everyday, but twice a week, and the show would still be fresh.

Why not a Chat show during 5-6? Well last time Trisha was there, ITV got in deep do do, but she was full of Affairs, sex, drugs and rock & roll, but get rid of the smut, and a chat show could keep the viewers glued for 1 hour?? Or what about a lifestyle magazine for 1 hour at teatime? Like This morning with Cookery, Pop bands and Grab A Grand competitions. That could be interesting?……….oh, maybe not then.

As I understand it, "I Want that House" performs quite well for ITV1 at 5:30pm. I notice also there is a new "I Want that....." series in the offing. This time holidays, see link below

Ive seen "I want that House" a few times and it is quite a good series really. I saw "Im the Answer" a few days in a row I think and I was quite fed up with it after that, maybe once a week on a Sunday would be better.

Ive also noticed we have the equalivent of 7 episodes of Emmerdale this week with the extra one being a 1 hr special on Tuesday (presumebly 2 eps rolled into 1) Maybe they want to keep the audience for the NTA so are showing 1 hr or Emmerdale before it. Anyway Good Luck to Corrie and Emmerdale for the awards!

Ive also noticed that the Sunday episode of Emmerdale has been dropped from next Sunday (2nd Nov) in its place we have the new look You've Been Framed. I think Emmerdale is better off at 5 episodes tbh, 6 was way too much to keep up with.

I take it with the new series of You've Been Framed next week, with the new presenter, this is the last we'll ever see of the Lisa Riley editions tonight. I don't ever recall seeing any Jeremy Beadle versions being repeated once Lisa started.

I havent seen Jeremy Beadle episodes of YBF for years - yeah hopefully this is the last we will see of Lisa on it, I preferred her when she was in Emmerdale tbh.

I'm the Answer bombed didn't it, the remaining episodes will be played out during the summer of next year.

Surprised ITV1 hasn't introduced network daytime repeats of Corrie/Emmerdale yet.

They are really strugling with the 2-3pm and 5pm slot. I still think their best solution is extending CITV to 5.30pm.

Advertisers want to attract young housekeepers with kids to the 5 to 6 slot. Hence the current raft of programmes

I agree with you extending kids is a much more sensible idea though

I think it would be a good idea to have Corrie and Emmerdale repeats during the day - not everyone has ITV2

Maybe if the 2-3pm slot isnt working they should consider giving those slots to the regions to do their own things like they used to.

Could have

9.25 Trisha
10.25 ITV News Headlines and Local News
10.30 This Morning
12.30 ITV Lunchtime News
1.00 Today with Des and Mel
2.00 Coronation Street (repeats)
2.30 Regional Variations
3.00 Local News
3.15 Emmerdale (repeats)
3.45 CITV
5.30 I Want That House
6.00 Local News

But CITV generally gets beaten by CBBC so that might not improve things either. (Didn't someone say that in a top ten of weekday afternoon children's programmes, 8 of them are generally CBBC, 2 of them CITV)

They should try and poach Countdown off Channel 4, seeing as they seem to not care about anything but reality tv or home shows thesedays
