Scariest Opening Sequences of All Time

Not me personally, but a friend told me he used to run out of the room screaming whenever this came on, mainly due to the animated head:

I remember hearing of people not liking the new Emmerdale opening in 1998 when it had pictures of people duplicating the stories. There was one where it showed someone looking like there were about to punch someone and apparently people didn't like it. It didn't bother me but I heard others had complained.

Ticking clock, Sirens blaring, Michael Buerk telling us these are true stories. It'd either scare you for life or inspire you to join the emergency services.

That's a great theme tune though.

Loved 999, which considering I won't watch anything else which is remotely medical is quite surprising.

That's a shame your fiend didn't like it. TW had some fab title sequences in the years leading up to getting axed.

999 scared the hell out of me as a child. I mean terrified me!
