Well said!

Presenters move on all the time. If Greg was that good, why was he on a quiz show?

Lets put it this way from the creation of ITV plc and up until recentlt ITV has been very poor and not recognising talent when shoved in their faces. Hopefully now under Grade, Shaps et al this now changes and uses the real talent that there is in this country. Greggles is ones of the better entertainers in this country and would be great as either a gameshow host or host of a new type of variety show (i.e. a kind of 21st century version of London Palladium - possibly he could use Flash and his band as a kind of sidekick - and before anyone bemoans the vaiety show - then why is ITV so good at it , e.g. The X factor and the soon to be new Simon Cowell show - so it isn't dead just been hibernating!!!)

Strike It Lucky/Rich is a gameshow for a mad-cap entertainer (e.g. Barrymore or as you say Conley).

Greggles would be good with My Kind Of Music, Celebriity Squares, Catchphrase, Jeopardy, Play Your Cards Right or even a more newe version of The Price Is Right. I think he would also be great at a new version of the Gen Game

I could agree with you about:
Catchphrase, The Price Is Right

you need a Brucee type person for Play Your Cards Right

I have my faith in Greggles if he was to ever become host of Play Your Cards Right - he could actually make it his own and it could even be a great gameshow once again.

How about a late evening entertainment/variety show (a slightly risque one) as Greggles as host - could be very funny and entertaining to watch - especially if live and interacted with the viewers (a la Quizmania!!!!)

Primetime
Greggles should get a gameshow or a similar format show to Al Murray's Happy Hour. On a Friday or Saturday night slot on ITV1.

I totally agree a very good entertaining/comedic variety show (i.e. comedy, music, chat, interaction)

Put The Telly On
Its a difficult one. We've seen Greggles as a great entertainer in a small entertainment field but would he actually work well hosting a full-blown light entertainment show?

That said, as a start, Greg would be perfect with Catchphrase!

There definately seems to be a shortage of fresh presenting talent - today's goldenboys seem to be Ant and Dec (obviously) and Vernon Kay.

A Brucey type person ?

You won't find many of those today. Back in the 80's most quiz / light entertainment shows would be hosted by somebody already established in the field, usually a comedian or singer, think Bob Monkhouse, Les Dawson, Jimmy Tarbuck, Jim Bowen, Roy Walker, Jim Davidson, Cilla Black, Paul Daniels, etc.

Today, we don't have entertainers, we have "presenters", most of which are just graduates from kids TV. They have no discernible talent but usually look nice with a bit of a personality and the ability to read an autocue.

Sad really but TV doesn't seem to nurture talent anymore.
