If Dancing On Ice was replaced with something other than "17p goes to charity" reality game shows, I would class ITV as bringing back the Saturday Night style of telly like in the 90s.

Okay, I must admit not everyone thinks Dancing On Ice is crap. If you do, what show would you replace it with to make it your ideal line up (if you don't like Al Murray either you can swap that as well). Just a bit of fun.

Another Saturday night success for ITV may come in the form of Simon Cowell's reality gameshow, can't remember what it was called but it involved an X-factor style but with different talents.. not just singing.

And there is the one where they are finding people for the musical Grease. Not sure when that is going to air but it will probabaly be a Saturday night show.

I'd probably prefer another series of Saturday Night Takeaway rather than another dancing show. But I tend not to watch much TV on a Saturday anyway.

With Dancing on Ice I just think it's a shame ITV did it before the BBC widened the format of Strictly Come Dancing (although they did do one on ice I think) which works perfectly.

I couldn't watch Dancing on Ice for several reasons, mainly:
- Philip Schofield is the wrong host.
- It had to try to be different from the Strictly format , so there was way too much analysis and peripheral stuff added in making the actual dance a miniscule part of the programme.

I taped a couple and did my own edit so I watched all the important bits in about 15 mins. I then decided it wasn't even worth that amount of effort.

17p - your a bit behind the times - 10p to charity nowadays, with 40p split between ITV and the VAT man!

In your world of IF it was replaced with 90s style programming, how about Ice Warriors? Wink

Surprised they've never really bought back Gladiators in a reworked format. No, not with celebs, but in a more reality style elimination format rather than the traditional heats > semi finals > final.

Well they did have that Celeb Wrestling programme a few years back which flopped!

Well, at least we can now dismiss the rumoured primetime version of The Price is Right - ITV have finally realised it's crap!

That's great News!
They have now realised that The Price is Right and Millionaire are both crap. But only The Price is Right has been axed, I think they should keep Millionaire but not for the Saturday night schedule as it's tired.

It hasn't been axed. It says they are planning to axe it according to an ITV source close to The People Laughing

Plus it's never aired on a Saturday therefore nothing to do with this thread
