This Saturday will see the return of one of the BBC's biggest shows and the start of a brand new show with Graham Norton. It's also the live final of Stars in their Eyes and a big night for Ant and Dec who have David Beckham on the show and Mariah Carey performing her latest single.

The Stars Live Final starts first at 5:25 on ITV 1, then over on BBC One half an hour later Graham's new show, Strictly Dance Fever, starts at 5:55. Then at 7 on BBC One Doctor Who returns, and at the same time on ITV 1 Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway kicks off with Who Wants to be a Millionaire at 8:10.

Graham's back at 9:10 to reveal which contestants are through to the competition on BBC One, with the Stars result at the same time over on ITV 1.

If nothing else crops up I may just be watching BBC One on Saturday night for once! I'll either tape Ant and Dec or find them later on ITV2.

What will you be doing on Saturday night?

I nearly always watch ITV1 on Saturday nights. BBC1 usually can't compete. The only time in recent months that I've watched BBC1 on a Saturday night was when Strictly Come Dancing was on.

It was a different kettle of fish, however, about ten years ago. We always used to watch BBC1 for programmes like The Generation Game, Noel's House Party etc.

To be honest, I probably watch more of ITV1 than BBC1 on any given day. BBC1's weekday daytime schedule does absolutely nothing for me, whereas ITV1 has This Morning - how can BBC1 compete against that? I remember the days when Anne and Nick were on BBC1 mornings, and then I was torn between both channels...not anymore. BBC1 is now packed with DIY and antiques programmes - not something which Joe Bloggs is particularly interested in, but the BBC don't seem to understand that. What happened to variety? Through the Keyhole, Wipeout, Passport to the Sun, City Hospital, Going for Gold. They've all disappeared.

The only programmes I watch regularly on BBC1 are news bulletins and Neighbours.

Also to note that this week is the first time since Christmas that BBC1 has actually had a Saturday early evening schedule. For the past few months it's either been sport, films or OFAH repeats

I'll be watching Casualty and Doctor Who on the beeb, but that's it, the Strictly Dance Fever won't do anything for me and Graham Norton is wasted on BBC One.

I'm normally fine with Ant and Dec and stay with ITV1 on Saturdays, but from this week onwards it's all BBC1 and BBC3 for me. Doctor Who and Dr Who Confidential of course Very Happy

If you live in Scotland, you will be busy channel hopping between BBC1 and BBC2 all evening to catch the programmes you mention. The Italy v Scotland football match is on BBC1 from 7.45 p.m. with the Lottery show and Dance Fever result on BBC2, and NO Casualty in-between. Confused It could be a ratings winning night for the Beeb on Saturday; I guess it all hinges on the draw of Dance Fever.
A very early start on ITV for the Stars Final, I remember in the not too distant past THAT show was the main event in the ITV schedule. With one of the finalists axed, I wonder if the viewers will choose two competitors, or if the runner up in the relevant show will get a place.
Meanwhile, in order to avoid another Black Tuesday, ITV have moved Precious Babies to 8 p.m. for the rest of the series.

This Saturday I will be going out and getting drunk as I don't have to be in work on Sunday like I usually am. Very Happy But talking about TV, it's something that doesn't work for me on a Saturday night now, the only decent thing is Ant & Dec's Takeaway, usually watch NTL on Saturday nights, only things like Paramount and even the News.

Though I admit the new Doctor Who doesn't look too bad.

I will watch Ant & Dec and record DR Who. As much as I like Graham Norton, his new show doesn't appeal to me. Casualty and Who want;s to be a Millionaire are getting a bit stales. So I will probably turn over to Sky Movies for the rest of the evening
