I'm almost convinced that trailer, in some way, shape or form, is part of a new set of titles for SNT 2021.

They should use an edited version of that trailer for the new titles, and edit in the the fly-in to the SNT logo atop Televison Centre.
Basically they should take and adopt the mock posted by fanoftv earlier, and edit it according to each episode of the next series.

Maybe it’s a virtual audience?

It's possible they might do something similar to what Penn & Teller's Fool Us are currently doing, and/or what BGT did for the finals. I guess a virtual audience potentially allows them to put one of those audience members on full screen for 'Win the Ads', and other features.

what
Yes. Alison Hammond has a role and Jordan North will be making a guest appearance, as confirmed by them both.

Oh, christ.

Why they're so secretive about the dates is beyond me considering it is obvious it'll begin when The Masked Singer finishes in practically the same slot it has aired in for years.

You seriously can't think of a reason they might be slightly less committal than usual?

This isn't a covid thing - they use that sort of wording all the time. Used to happen with Big Brother too.

Does anyone else think they add fake applause to these show, Takeaway, BGT, DOI and similar?

The crowd applause and reactions we hear don't quite match up and sound the same as the used to do pre covid, I know what 20 people sound like clapping and cheering compared to many hundred people Laughing

Not to turn this into another "DOI is crap" thread, but the canned audience on there really is naff and adds nothing at all. What is particularly jarring is the rapturous applause during the skating followed by the much more believable clapping immediately after during the judges comments etc.

See also the jeering during the vote reveal - one of the worst elements of many noughties talent shows (with the exception of "Only The Young Guy" from X Factor) and even more ridiculous when the shouting is just random crowd noise like you'd get on The Simpsons town hall meetings rather than people actually shouting to support their favourites.

But yes, not to turn this into another DOI is crap thread...
