The old Daybreak sofa was there before the break in the green room area.

Good to see ITV not wasting money!

Much better show tonight - everything just seemed to work better from Little Ant and Dec to I'm a Celebrity to kidnapping some mothers kids and sending them to Paris. The End of the Show Show was all the better to for not being played for laughs - although Spelbound seem to have had a bit of a clear out themselves with Ant and Dec probably the only familiar faces from back in the BGT days.

Not the same act that won BGT, none of the original members are in Spelbound now for various reasons. Still visually impressive though, but yes the End of the Show Show works better like this as opposed to the Morecambe & Wise rehash from last week.

Not really sure whether it was a blessing in disguise about the lack of Justin Bieber this week despite the previous billing. May have had something to do with his escapades (or lack of as the case may be) at the O2 this week so it had to be changed at the last minute.

Main problem with Ant v Dec boils down to: Hitting little balls with big sticks in the dark = impossible to follow them. Not the best executed idea.

Except Ant v. Dec which didn't work.

So why was Ricky Gervais recorded last week, and Alan Carr live this week (or at least I think he was)... Cool

Why don't you just think about it for a few seconds, then tell me?

Less of the sarcasm son, it was actually a genuine question...

Sorry dad. But isn't it obvious? It wasn't live presumably because Ricky Gervias wasn't able to do it live.

It works much better live in my opinion though.

But it was there, so automatically better than last week.

I happened to find myself down on the South Bank yesterday afternoon and saw them setting up for this feature, and I could have told them it wouldn't work when I saw the guys from SFX Ltd laying down the gas hoses for the 'ring of fire' surround for the golf target. Orange golf balls being hit from around 5 mts away being shot from a high up, head on angle into an orange flame, was never going to be easy to follow even on a HD screen.

Plus, the amount (or lack of) of lights they were using were dubious to say the least. Suspect they hoped the LED screen halfway down and the flames would provide extra light (it didn't)

Should have used either white or lumious painted golf balls. Clive Tydsley was obviously being fed where the balls were landing by a spotter in the camera positing tower behind the green, because as he was 'off tubing' there was no way (like the rest of us) he could tell what on earth was going on, or where they were landing.

Not necessarily. Presence of a feature in a programme doesn't necessarily make the programme better, particularly if the theme of the feature is a half-baked idea in the first place.

I'm only hoping that not all the Ant V Dec challenges are all going to be held outside the studio. Unless it's essential (I.e. the first show) then it adds nothing.
The golf course was visually eye appealing but practically useless as you couldn't see what was happening.

They could have done exactly the same challenge in the studio minus the fire and it would have worked so much better as at least you could see what was happening then!
