It wasn't a woman, it was Gerald. Music rights issue? Or just cut for time?
Isn't the whole point of "as live" not to fix it all up later?
I suspect they just wanted to do it as "as live" as they could (barring actually doing it live, which'd be a daft thing to try) - if you're going to tidy it up in editing in anyway you might as well just record everything separately.
They were showing the best bits, noticed they cut out the bit when the woman from Tesco sung you are not alone

There’s definite latency issues with the method they are using, if it had been recorded as live they could have fixed these

I felt the Ant v Dec part tonight jarred a little bit. It might be because I'm not a fan of Stephen Mulhern, but it felt rather forced. Otherwise, I thought the show flowed a lot better tonight than last week, and I was pleased they admitted "It wasn't quite the series we hoped for" or whatever they said, nice to hear presenters being brutally honest as a review for themselves, but it has to be said they showed how truly professional they are in completing the series one way or another.

I thought I was going mad because I was sure he sang!
Just watched it back on YouTube and the part cut was only about 18 seconds so presumably a rights issue rather than time.

I was also waiting for the singing, it was the bit that I remembered from the whole part, I even forgot about the eggs!
As for the show the added bits with Stephen and chat to James Corden helped more than last week. It was nice to see the fantastic Disneyworld opening from 2017, and the let’s get ready to rhumble end of the show show.

the series started rather weak, in fact on catch up I found myself skipping lots of Place on the Plane related items. Over reliance on Product placement related items seemed to restrict the fun and variety of the programme. Mid series it peaked with the last two studio based shows when Covid started to impact. Made it so more watchable for me. The last two shows were decent trips down memory lane and preferable to any Disneyland show.

Or perhaps because it's a Michael Jackson song...
