I think the conversations here on the last few weeks have been really interesting. And as critical as we are, we're also pretty happy with saying when a show is much better, as last night's episode was. Maybe it was simply down to less Virgin/Disney promotion - spending some time entertaining rather than just giving out tickets to the audience with the briefest of backstory as to why they derserve it. Always good when something happens to prove it's live too!

It just felt better having a normal open too to be honest, rather than feeling like they have to do something during the song (last week's wackily playing with the cameras didn't work for me. I think there's a technique for deliberately doing something badly, well)

Be interesting if it's back next week. I'm not sure it will, and I imagine they really don't want to play to an empty studio. Funny for an opening link, but a buzz kill for the other 85 minutes. A highlights programme with the new Undercover would probably still command the ratings though. Makes you wonder if they've ever had a standby programme, like BGT had when the live link went down.

One technical annoyance - who keeps shooting 'live' content filmic style?? The illusion of Ant and Dec and JLS being live just didn't work when repeatedly cutting between the two styles. Same as in the first show when they went to Westfield. Minor gripe though, it's so good to see TVC being used like that - reminded me of the Buble one they did at TLS.

Television Centre looked beautiful. It is a great building. I remember getting totally lost in the complex when it had the 8 studios. I remember trying to navigate around the building and it confused me so much.

I, too, have been to Television Centre.

Television Centre has got 3 studios. BBC Television Centre had 8 so where did you go?

Key words “I remember getting totally lost in the complex when it had the 8 studios.” He is referring to the former, not the latter.

With Loose Women going audience-less, do we expect to see an empty TC1 on Saturday night?

I expect so, given the advice outlined today. The Last Leg also? Or with a severely reduced audience.

There's a joke in there somewhere that Adam or Alex could make.

Ouch, perhaps they should have chucked out the Bradley Walsh undercover the weekend just gone!

Interesting tweet! A lack of an audience doesn't really matter on programmes like Loose Women because they're basically just there to woop and clap when Gemma Collins comes out to promote her autobiography and when coming in and out of adverts. SNT, however, is a completely different kettle of fish.

The show pretty much revolves around audience participation; by and large, their first segment entails surprising people in the audience, they get someone out of the audience for Win The Ads, they give away places on the plane (which is a whole other headache!) to members of the audience in the 'Happiest Minute of the Week'... they're going to have to really think about how they can manage this week (and next?) without being able to rely on a massive chunk of their usual features.

This week, they've got Men In Brown and (the much trailed) Bradley Walsh segment prerecorded and presumably there'll be some form of musical performance, (possibly two if they begin with one AND have an End of the Show Show) so they will get a decent chunk of the show over with like that but it'll be tricky filling the rest of the time. I suppose Ant v Dec wouldn't be affected (depending on the 'task') and there may be some pre-recorded Mulhern capers where he's faffing about with the public that they could air too. I feel like as little as possible of what's left of the series will actually be live.

I applaud them for (if this tweet is reputable) attempting to go ahead with it though. I'm a big advocate of providing some light relief in times like this so I hope they can pull it off.

At this point they should just burn off all the pre-recorded material on the next episode and then end the season there.

Yeah, really bring up morale and cut the series short.
