They could probably do the show without an audience, especially as next weeks show contains the pre recorded Bradley Walsh undercover
I don't think it would be the same at all, great show tonight back on top boys.
It wouldn’t be the same. But I actually think they could put on a pretty good show and I’m some ways it may give them a bit of freedom.
You could certainly do a studio based Ant vs Dec maybe bring Alan Carr in and do a Bullseye themed one to plug Epic Gameshow coming up soon. Singalong Britain could work but might be a bit odd without the audience and I’m sure they could up with a pretty good End of the Show Show.
If the worst does happen and they can't have a big audience due to either the law or simply it being a bad look, it would be good for some sort of show to go ahead. People will desperately be in need of some light entertainment. I appreciate a show like Takeaway may be very difficult to do without a public audience.
So much better this week. Watched far more than I have done on the series to date. But felt like a series end to a certain extent - which I think we all expect it to be
The Television Centre wall was all lit up in blue and magenta for the pre-recorded bit of JLS running across the road, then it cut to a live shot and it wasn't lit up. That'd be worthy of a Daily Mail or Digital Spy article all by itself ("TV fans spot HORRIFYING blunder") if it hadn't been for Mrs Sweary.
I didn't notice much different this week to be honest. Fleur East getting off that bike and making her way to the door was horribly flat. At least Scarlett would have found something to jabber about on her way, even if it was just "Hey look, there's a cat!"

A clip show of old undercovers linked by Ant and Dec, with Bradley's new one to finish it off, followed by a repeat of Ant and Dec's DNA Journey.
This years series of 'Takeaway' is turning into a bit of a 'annus horribilis' for ITV.
So far we've had Dec's mess up with 'join us next week for another edition of I'm a Celebrity', the ill-judged end of the show show with the Japanese flag causing offence and then the grovelling apologies and that part of the show having to be edited out. The f-bomb incident this week, the ultra hyped up season final in Florida now cancelled, and now the possibility of next week having no audience or the whole show called of completely!!
One big headache at the moment for ITV.
No wonder they want Stars in Your Eyes back, at least they can stockpile episodes in the can and churn them out at anytime regardless of world events.
Funnily this all reminds me of far lighter times when Television Centre had some issues with their music license or something and couldn't record audience shows with music for a while? Actually, was this a strange dream I had?

Fleur must have a really good agent, as her live TV skills aren't particularly sharp - not sure how she has been on The Hits Radio breakfast which you think would have been good training. Scarlett might not be everyone's cup of tea but she was better TV.

Many of those things were very minor things that aren’t even worth commenting on. Collecting them all up in a long list makes you sound like a tabloid newspaper.
This pales into insignificance compared to last year’s series (I.e there not being one) and the year before.

Disagree - think she's much more of a natural.
Agree that it all just felt much better tonight - so much more natural. As we've been saying it was only small changes which were required to freshen it up a bit and they did that quite simply with a couple of nods to the past and a couple of tweaks to regular features. Having a guest announcer who gets involved too rather than an American reading a script makes a huge difference as well - and in a time of national crisis we generally need Joanna Lumley.
