The trouble the show has now is it has been so focused on the Place on the Plane, and even if the prize is changed to a holiday later in the year (which may or may not feature an SNT broadcast) it's not something people really want to be winning now.
As for the scheduled finale - wonder if TC1 is actually available if they do it from London.

They could do the finale from Dec’s house. Ant & Dec’s House Party?

As already mentioned in the thread, that’s a few weeks away and who knows what could happen.
You may find social gathering rules introduced that mean no audience.

I don't think there is any Saturday production scheduled for TC1 on that Saturday they are due in the US, so they could, it would mean asking BBC Studioworks extending their deal for an extra week which should be easy

That's a bit of a stretch unless you work for Studioworks and are party to their booking information. It may be that none of the regular live bookings are on air that night but entirely likely that somebody else has booked it for a pre recorded show.

Especially as Disney have now announced the closure of the Florida and Paris parks until at least the end of March.
I’m sure they’ll have to announce something before Saturday’s show. I just don’t know how they could just ignore the issue and carry on as if it’s all going to go ahead as planned.

Yep, you beat me to it:
The last episode is at the beginning of April but they won't want to risk it

Ouch. How are they going to cope with this now?
I hasten to imagine that everyone who had won a place on the plane will still be taken there later this year, and this can still be offered on future episodes. That’s if there will even still be a studio audience at all in the next few weeks.
The difficulty comes with the commercial partnership between Disney and ITV given that now it’s unlikely Disney World will get the exposure to the prime time UK audience on the final show, which will no doubt be part of the agreement.
I imagine it will be something ITV will still have to honour at some point and will currently be in last minute negotiations as to what would be an acceptable alternative. The likelyhood will be some kind of one-off random special show based at Disney World.
Or maybe have a week-long ‘This Morning’ out there, indeed Richard & Judy did this in the early days.
Either way, it’s another major headache for the show which only just survived the last incident which took it off air completely last year.

It's all probably just his speculation.
