Indeed, when TV Forum is more moany than Twitter or Digital Spy, then there is a problem.

7 million - very good going for a launch. I wonder if that is near the same for the 2018 launch show?

Yeah, I enjoyed it last night. Most of the moans seem to be the same every year.

The 2018 equivalent figure is 7.6m and 7.8m for 2017

7.4m in 2017. Last night was 7.3m according to Liam Hamilton on Twitter.

I know, I wasn’t having a dig, apologies if that’s how it came across. Broadcast do an annoying thing where when making comparisons with previous years they use an overnight rating with the adverts stripped out. When they do the official ratings everything is time checked to the second with adverts removed. Broadcast then use those timings for their historical overnights, so they make unfair comparisons. For an industry leading magazine it’s quite poor really.

Considering the cost of their subscription is double the licence fee for articles that generally are not exclusives it is very poor indeed to use misleading data.

Let's hope we can get to the end of the series without restrictions on large crowds and audiences coming into place...

Is that really a likelyhood? It would be a massive over-reaction and TV shows would be the least of our worries
