I do think Mark Wahlberg was a poor Get Out Of My Ear participant. It's not personal, but he's a serious actor and it's not his forte.

He's been in plenty of comedy films, he's hardly Daniel Day Lewis. Even then there are plenty of serious actors who would be great in that segment (look at some of the people they get in The Honoured). He clearly didn't get the humour of the show and more bothered about showing off his business and his own self image. Couldn't have looked less bothered in the "live reaction" bits.

Camila Cabello is guest announcer.

And obviously not there.

You jumped in too quick with that, she vacated her booth to do the place on the plane bit.

It’s missing OBs and Scarlet so far.

I’m sure when Scarlet was on, people used to moan that she wasn’t needed

Andy Peters for crying out loud...

If he was doing anything like interacting with the public it would be OK, instead he’s just doing his GMB competition. I assume it wasn’t a live OB.

With all the people turning up in the second part, you’d presumably assume wrong.

Just reminded me of Aspel and Company all those years ago when they managed to get Sly Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarznegger onto the show but it ended up being an hour advert for their new Planet Hollywood restaurant.

Yes, not me though. But it’s more that some of the OB bits she would have presented were missing.

Yes, I’ve stated that. As Bilky Akso said it wasn’t showing the live DOG, so the segments were likely recorded a little before broadcast. That wasn’t really my problem anyway, it was hardly a bit that was there to embellish the entertainment value of the show.

If they're going to pre-record it anyway, why would they not do it the day before so they'd have had enough time to get a take without a fluff in it?

Presumably they still wanted people to turn up, after seeing it on the telly.

I'm not convinced that bit was live either. There were absolutely no wide shots of her with the audience in shot and she didn't join them on stage at the end, which I think they usually do if they're in the studio. They also made sure the pan of the audience didn't cross to them.

Not the first time and won't be the last the guest announcer isn't live in the studio - and it is always pretty obvious when they're not

It's not much, and a bit rough around the edges, but an idea of what they could've done if they reused the old titles:

I hope JKDerry doesn’t go on twitter just now. Lots of people quite shocked at seeing Takeaway come from ‘BBC Television Centre’ and when asking why, many are saying that BBC sold it to ITV and that the BBC moved to Manchester. Laughing

When ITV use the exterior of TV Centre on air all over the place it’s an easy mistake to make.

I won't link anything but the usual suspects have already churned out articles about the badly timed laugh, as well as an article just for Billy about Dec's slip of the tongue at the close of the show.

Gotta get dem clikcs, boiz.

Maybe that was taken at another time, seems unlikely though. Similarly she had some Insta stories from rehersal earlier today.
ITV are also usually pretty quick to remove the Live DOG when it isn't.

The problem with TVC is that you can still clearly see where the BBC logo once was...surely its not too much hard work for a clean up of the brickwork to remove the 3 boxes where the BBC logo once was?
