I see Virgin Media One in Ireland who always simulcast SNT have to time shift it a half hour this Saturday due to sporting coverage of their own. Wales V France rugby they are showing until 7.30pm, meaning they have to push SNT to a half hour later. Also knocking their simulcast of The Voice UK too.

Just noticed that QI will be recorded in Studio TC1 on the Thursdays of the week SNT are in the studio the following Saturday - that is a fast turnaround for the sets, as QI films two episodes a day.
Tomorrow's Last Leg for Channel 4 will come from Elstree Studios, as it was impossible for them to film live there with SNT in the following day - I wonder which stage Last Leg will use there?

Pretty sure Takeaway has always had the Friday rehearsal day, as a show like Takeaway needs. Blocking through, camera rehearsal, dress rehearsal on the Saturday etc. Big show. Likewise overnight turnaround from something like Graham Norton on the Thursday to Takeaway on the Friday were the norm at TLS.

Spoiler alert - saw on Instagram or somewhere the other day photos of A&D filming outside TVC with a removals van.
For some reason this whole TVC thing reminds me of them on SMTV Live yonks ago and a sketch where they "fell out" with Cat and she left the scene saying "I'm going somewhere where I can be alone and not bothered." Ant pipes up pointing the other way saying "The BBC's that way!"

Just as I thought. I see stairs to the left, safe to assume the coming down the stairs opening will continue?
NEW: First look at the #SaturdayNightTakeaway set in their new studio at Television Centre.

With the move to Television Centre and with Ant returning after his awful year of hell in 2018 you would have thought 2020, a new decade a new year to relaunch the show and give it a fresh new feel and tone - but no, it is a play safe tactic ITV and the production are seeming to use.
Shame, as I felt there could be a lot of scope for some necessary changes especially since they had a whole year off.
Yes, we are judging by the set look, but I feel they have a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude, and sorry there were a lot of items on SNT which were tired and drained of all fun that needed to be chucked away, otherwise SNT is in danger of going the same way as Noel's House Party did from 1996 onward.
