I'm a Celebrity uses a cue dot, or at least it did until a few years ago. It's because it's an OB from abroad where the communications are potentially less reliable. A last chance way to tell the transmission controllers in the UK know the part is finishing.

Not sure cue dots ever went away for live programmes, but it makes a lot of sense to use them on this show, it's an unambiguous way of making sure the playout suites get the right timings into breaks without the risk of a talkback circuit having different latency to the programme feed and things getting out of sync.

They usually have one for a bit during GMB. Or at least they used to

I was looking at the “Characters Appearances Courtesy Of” bit in the credits and I see that SpongeBob was mentioned but I didn’t see him in the show.

Maybe not Spongebob himself, but certainly some of the Krusty Crab regulars were there (fish on roller skates) - as far as I could see, literally every standup costume in the place was on that stage at some point.

We're still waiting for the SMTV reunion they promised last year.

What do everybody think about dec being a solo presenter.

Personally I think he could do I’m a Celeb on his own

As long as he has people (being crew/guests) to bounce off, he's perfectly fine.

I don't as all the links are basically comedy sketches, with scripted jokes between the pair.

I'd pair him up with Mulhern for that.

He'll definitely be ok with BGT live shows on his own though

In the first show Dec's emotion and nerves showed more, but I imagine that was a lot of wondering what sort of reception he would get and knowing he was doing double the work. The show producers clearly did a lot of work alongside the presenters to make sure most of Ant's duties were covered in advance, with the exception of "Saturday Knight" which they decided needed to be completed.

He relaxed once he saw the audience and got the sense that reception was fairly positive however. He certainly seemed less worried or concerned during this live show.

The final live show was much better than last year, but Universal generally has more live shows and actors over Disney who have a more limited pool. Rain was likely more a blessing than a curse as it usually cools the air for a bit. So we didn't have Dec or co looking like they are half-ready to pass out.

It's interesting that Dec didn't even try to reference Ant like he did last show mind. Even after Saturday Knight he quickly moved on from it. Also seemed a shame to have the Rembandits and not make a "Chums" reference. But I guess it's been so long ago that few people would get it, bah.

Great show tonight - Dec seemed completely natural on his own tonight, as if it had always been that way. Love the idea of loads of baffled Americans in the audience wondering who on earth Ant is. Tonight also showed how crucial Stephan Merchant was last week - Denise Richards was just there to read her lines.

How did a segment from SNT get it's own series? Rolling Eyes

Singalong Live is also getting a spin-off hosted by Alan Carr. Personally I think In for a Penny is fine as a bit of filler on weeks when SNT is running low on content but not sure it could sustain a series.

Good to see next week getting advertised heavily throughout the show too - Ninja Warrior, Alien Fun Capsule, Britain's Got Talent and Keith and Paddy's Picture Show is a solid three and a half hour block of entertainment. Apart from BGT it won't rate spectacularly of course, but on paper it should see ITV topping BBC1 on Saturday nights whose line up of Pointless Celebs, Who Dares Wins, Casualty and a repeat of Mrs Browns Boys screams all filler and no thriller.
