Exactly, and in the long run those episodes can be claimed back in future series. In a way ITV are fortunate it's only on air for 6-7 weeks a year rather than half the year like the big light entertainment shows of the 90s were - yes, it'll be missed from the schedule for a week or two but it's not like they're leaving a big hole for months.
The dull, bureaucratic answer is to can the series and review things after that. Sometimes, the dull bureaucratic answer is the right thing to do.

Focussing on the TV production element of it all, I highly, highly doubt Dec would present the shows alone or with anyone else. It's out of the question really.
I can see the last 'normal' episodes of SNT being canned completely, with the Orlando finale done as a one-off special much later in the year. I'm sure contingency plans are in place for last-minute situations such as these, especially in regards to sponsorships.
Britain's Got Talent is far trickier. Realistically I think everything up until now will be shown as normal with Ant, with Mulhern taking over the narration, remainder of the auditions (if there any) and the lives.

That orlando finale either goes ahead when planned or its canned. All the people have no booked for it, I doubt there can start moving things around.

All the auditions and the reveal have long been finished now, all that’s left is the live shows. As far as I can remember there is no narration in the auditions anymore apart from the competition and the app ad.

Wonder if they'd have enough pre-recorded material to throw together an emergency episode with the remaining episodes of Saturday Knight Takeaway, the announced Make 'Em Laugh, surely one more Undercover or Get out of Me Ear and if they're that desperate In for a Penny.
I couldn't imagine Dec doing a live show without Ant but he might be willing to do a few links between material they've already done - and they could possibly throw in some classic material too and perhaps record an End of the Show Show that doesn't feature them.
If they need to give away some more places on the plane they could have Scarlett and Stephen film some doorstepping surprises and insert them throughout the show.

The Sun reckon
1: Ant is going to be out for the rest of the year (good decision if so).
2. Dec will host the last two episodes himself (hmm).
