Now that Saturday Cooks is finishing what will replace it in the New Year??? (after ITV have had fun with its children's programming)

I would hope something like this....

0925 to 1100 Kick-off (ITV's answer to Soccer AM) - then during non-football season 0925-0935 Cartoon Time, 0935-1030 The New Adventures of Superman, 1030-1100 The Drake and Josh Show
1100 to 1200 The Chart Show (it's about time this returned to our screens)
1200 to 1315 New Youth orientated magazine show (a cross between the old Magpie/Splash and ITV2's old Bedrock series)
1315 to 1330 News

Although, dearly, I loved to see the return of the Saturday morning children's magazine, I fear that ITV have destroyed the format and NEVER will return to it and let other channels do the real decent children's programming for Saturday mornings

"ITV's answer to Soccer AM"???

You continuously rant and rave about ITV taking no risks and having no imagination, yet you want them to show a Soccer AM rip off?

I expect Saturday Cooks will be back, there's no suggestion that it's been axed. They have signed up AWT with a big contract

why not???

BBC1 has a cookery magazine
BBC2 has children's programmes
C4 has various things ranging from sport to US comedies
C5 has children's programmes

This would be an alternative and yet popular! To be honest it would be better to have a football programme on in the mornings because at lunchtimes football fans are already getting ready to go, or already on their way to the afternoon match!!! (for instance if I was still in Bolton my match bus leaves at 1220, so I get to see virtually nothing of Football Focus - also what about the people who can't receive Sky Sports1 for Soccer AM, this would be an alternative!)

ITV is, at this moment in time, in the wilderness on Saturday mornings - they have lost the children's viewers to both BBC and satellite and they have nothing to gain viewers with. So why not try it - nothing to lose but everything to gain!!!

I said answer to Soocer Am not a direct copy. What I would propose would be some fun and laughter within the show, don't get me wrong but also some serious stuff - more like the regional soccer night programmes but a national edition featuring all the leagues.

- More lighthearted than Football Focus but more series than Soccer AM - somewhere inbetween the two.

Now did I say a direct copy??? Did I say nick Soccer Am from Sky??? Did I say nick Football Focus from BBC (remember On The Ball or eveen Saint & Greavsie!!!)???

NO - I said somewhere in the middle of Football Focus and Soccer AM. In otherwords a different type of show to those two but based upon the same theme. How is that nicking a show?????

A football show on ITV1 is a dreadful idea. Think about it, who has the better football image, Sky Sports or ITV1? Why would any football fans switch off Soccer AM for another programme?

How about an alternative - How about a football show for those who don't have Sky or even Sky Sports (remember Soocer AM is not even shown on Freeview!)

No but an independent company could - I'm sure Princess productions could come up with something - they are normally good at magazine style shows (except from Terry & Gabby!!) e.g. The Wright Stuff, Show Me The Money, Bedrock and the new Something for the Weekend on BBC2 Sunday's

Or even Transword Sport (or TWI - or whatever its called nowadays!!)

Not that he's worth it. He only just about managed to muster the ratings Saturday Showdown, something produced on a shoestring in comparison, used to get.
