How many Saturday morning programmes of the last decade can you name? OK, now apart from SM:TV Live, how many of those were on ITV? Not very many, probably - in the 1990s ITV were terrible on Saturday mornings, with series like It's Not Just Saturday, Wow and Tricky, Mashed, Teleganticmegavision, The Noise and Scratchy and Co all ending before many people noticed they had actually started.

Hi Mr Akinbola! Back again? Still not learnt how to make your own posts, rather than copying & pasting? Still not learnt the meaning of "banned" either?

I'll say that Saturday Mornings as the time for Childrens programing has been going down the drain for some time now.
Personaly, I mark the time Saturday Morning TV jumped the shark down to Ant and Dec leaving SM:tv.

I disagree, Dick N Dom certainly revived Saturday Mornings and I was quite fond of the second year of MoM. But in 2006, The Mighty Truck of Stuff and Saturday Showdown doesn't appeal to me but then I'm nearly 30 and it shouldn't do in the first place! Laughing

Motormouth, Ghost Train and Gimme 5 were my most popular Saturday morning ITV shows. All 3 classic shows with classic presenters - the latter 2 being presented by Nobby The Sheep Very Happy . Wicked and fresh!

It's Not Just Saturday was alright but the main reason for watching was to see Dannii Minogue - phwoar - she was gorgeous on that show!!! Very Happy

I use to watch No 73 on a regular basis and then joined the Going Live! / Live and Kicking brigade and then eventually went back to ITV to see what all the fuss was about with Ant and Dec on SMTV.

Did you know Ant and Dec appeared on Andi's final show on L+K in 1996 in a special farewell inset piece. Little did they know that them two would go on to be their competition a couple of years later!

I prefer the saturday show to dick and dom and i think the best era of ministry of mayhem was march-july 2004 and i know you'll think i'm weird but my favourite smtv presenters were brian and tess!

My favourite Saturday Morning shows were:-

TISWAS (ATV Production and shown in Granada) and Multicoloured Swap Shop (BBC)
Saturday Superstore (BBC)
Electronic Data Run (TVam)
No73/7T3 (TVS production for ITV)
Wide Awake Club/Wacaday (TVam)
Motormouth (TVS for ITV)
Ghost Train (Various for ITV)/Ghost Train on Sunday (Border for ITV)
Gimme5 (Tyne Tees for ITV)
TV Mayhem (with Chris Evans - TVam)
Top Banana (TVam)
The Disney Club (not strictly Saturday as it was on Sunday's - Scottish TV for ITV)

then didn't really watch until ...

SM:TV Live! (Indepedent for ITV)

Nothing much of interest has ever been made for Saturday Mornings by GMTV (mainly Disney cartoon Shows)

nowadays...

Soccer AM (Sky) - far superior to anything shown on both ITV and BBC - it has everything from top-notch guests to sketches, humour and rsikiness (i.e. the Socerette) - now this was how Saturday Mornings used to be like in the old days on both BBC and ITV.
