Saturday Live Again!
Saturday 01 December
9:40pm - 11:10pm

Marcus Brigstocke hosts a spectacular comedy and music extravaganza, celebrating the 21st anniversary of the ground-breaking Saturday Live. First broadcast in 1986, the show was the launch pad for some of Britain's best loved-comedians. Tonight, an eclectic group of comics, including Jimmy Carr, Lee Mack, Mitchell and Webb and original Saturday Live host Ben Elton, perform live, and there's music from the likes of Jon Bon Jovi and Hard-Fi.

It looks good, but I'm surprised that this is being shown on ITV, and not Channel 4. I know that it was revived on ITV in the 1990s, but that was a very short-lived series. Most people would associate Saturday Live with Channel 4, not ITV.
It seems that the reason for it being shown on ITV is that the person who commissioned it, Paul Jackson, who is currently ITV's director of entertainment and comedy, was the show's original producer.

Also, I thought that the series started in 1985, not 1986, so this means that it's actually a 22nd anniversary programme, not a 21st anniversary programme.
