I'm pretty sure that was part 2 and it was about the Indian cable industry as a whole- hence the lines at the end of part 1 about an even bigger market on 'the other side of the world'. I've a vague memory of part 3 involving someone (Richard Desmond?) talking about porn channels in the U.K. but can't remember if that was the subject of the whole episode.
I had part one on tape for years and watched it a lot of times. Sadly didn't keep it, but great to see it to turn up.
'Satellite Wars' was one of several great documentaries about TV from around that time- see also the 'Picture Power' episode of 'People's Century' and the excellent 'Breaking The News' from 1997 about the history of TV news in the U.K., USA and Russia- that one I have kept and it's brilliant.
I remember part 3? Was about ZeeTv in India. It was a great series
