Salmond is a tosser - does he really think by 'demanding' things it'll happen? Why does Scottish programming not get more airing on the main channels - because STV (SMG) don't want to produce anything other than Taggart and Rebus. BBC Scotland is just as purile.
Salmond is nothing but a mini dictator (I want it, so if I don't get it, I'll shove my anti-English viewpoint down your neck) and as I currently reside in Scotland, the whole thing stinks. I can't wait until the day I return to south of the border and I can leave all the anti-English bile behind. I really like Scotland, and most of the people, but if somebody tells you something long enough, some people are stupid enough to believe it.

It was a sad day in Scottish broadcasting history when the Wheel of Fortune stopped spinning.
Half of the countries television output wiped out in a stroke.

Only Scottish Labour could invent a voting system that actually works against them.
Strikes me the whole Scottish Six argument is a bit outdated. I agree with the principle but in a few years time, when we're fully digital, 24 hour news will dominate things. Already I'm watching the news when I want - the major disadvantage being that the Scottish news isn't on at this point.
And we're not going to sustain a 24 hour news channel for Scotland. Perhaps there's an argument for regional opts on news 24 every hour during daytime? It could presumably be done on Freeview although I don't know how possible it would be on cable/satellite.
Incidentally, great BBC Scotland scheduling of our time - guess which channel The ONE show is on tonight up here?

Out of all of them Fun House was the only one filmed in Scotland. Art Attack was produced in Maidstone, but the only thing was that it was nothing more but being represented by 'Scottish Television Enterprises', same went for How 2 aswell. Rupert The Bear didn't look like it was produced in Scotland, I think that was Canadian, it was just that Scottish must have gained the rights for them somehow.
