The thing is it wasn't a bad programme, it's just no-one knew where to find it!
Richard keeps trotting out the line that they wanted to move into digital because it's the future an soon everyone will have it.... but didn't take into account the fact that Watch was not only a new and unknown channel but also a pay one. If it had ended up on an established freeview channel it would have done better
The fact is, though tons may have found Watch for stuff like Total Wipeout USA. The people who watched Richard and Judy, who in my eyes are women midle aged or old, could not find Watch so virtually only a few people with Sky or Virgin and knew of the channels existance watched.
On channel 4, everyone knew they were there and watched, yet on no one really knew they moved to Watch.
IMO Richard and Judy were really quite stupid thinking that moving to a new subscription based channel would be a good idea.
If people are upset about this, maybe they should have watched the show.
When a national TV programme is getting the kind of audience figures you'd expect from a daytime show on a small local radio station, you know you're done for.
