Shame the colour scheme isn't pink!
Think the girly might object to our little treasure going around with a sweater saying 'TV Forum'... would look like an advert for a dodgy porno mag!!
Not that I'd know anything about them of course!!

Arh wow, a little Techy Peep, just imagine the first day at school.....
Teacher:and D O G spells dog
Little Techy Peep: Which in fact is the BBC's in house name for what is known in broadcasting circles as a BUG, this of course must not be confused with a DINGO.
Teacher: err, ah right, erm, ooh.
Little Techy Peep: Did you say OOV, Out Of Vision?

I think it was something to do with Sainsbury's with the TASTE bit being a massive flop so I think Sainsburys wanted millions but Carlton couldn't afford it or that they admitted it was crap or something like that. If it just stayed Carlton Food Network it would have been OK.

Since 2000

Carlton Kids
Carlton World
Carlton Select
Carlton Food Network

have all closed.

Pretty Odd?http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/confused.gif

But they were all rubbish anyway

I think Carlton wanted ppl to think of them as a broadcasting powerhouse - they rebranded Central and Westcountry and launched their own channels...
but....
- the channels were an attempt to give ONdigital (now ITVdigital) some exclusive channels at launch - what Carlton failed to realise is that pay-TV customers want the established names for their money
- Carlton on ITV1 have never been popular 'cos they destroyed some of the most popular ITV1 franchises (Thames, Central).
So Carlton's cunning plan is blowing up in their face!
Who's got money on when Cinema's gonna pack in? And: should Carlt have another crack and get some more channels going?
