I understand S4C came into some money through selling something to do with a mux or somesuch and the subsequent investment, as mentioned, in children's programming is deliberate and clever.
S4C sold SDN (S4C Digital Networks), the commercial operator of DTT Multiplex A, to ITV plc in 2005, however S4C still controls its half of the multiplex in Wales.
I can't see how this unfolds as a long-term investment however. S4C has a lot of potential what it can do with its half of Mux A in Wales, especially since S4C Digidol will be moving to Multiplex 1 or 2 next year.
