When I was down on the North Devon coast over the Bank Holiday weekend, I took my handheld TV with me up on to places like Dunkery Beacon, and managed to get a clear signal from S4C. I was amazed to see S4C showing the ENGLISH cricket! Does anybody in Wales have an interest in the English cricket team or is it because Wales doesn't have a national cricket team that S4C decide to show the English cricket instead of opting out of Channel 4's programmes all day and putting on their own?

the ECB, adminsitators of English cricket are accually the England and Wales Cricket board so its common for players like Robert Croft who are from Wales to play for England.

S4C show the cricket as not everyone in Wales has Channel 4 (just S4C) so they follow C4 schedules for live sporting events such as cricket.

Does anybody in England have an interest in the English cricket team?

S4C show it because they generally have the same sports rights as Channel 4, but the cricket is regularly dropped for Welsh events such as live rugby / football, and the Eisteddfods.

S4C does show coverage of Welsh cricket, and uses the same graphics as Channel 4.

Yes, thank you.

We actually have a chance of winning, and squaring the series tomorrow, if we can knock over the odd four wickets early on.

There you go, you see, four wickets in just under the hour.

Two-and-a-bit sessions to just get the 110 runs and win.

Anyone taking bets now?

This is the England team we are talking about, there is no such thing as a "dead cert" with them. Laughing But we can but hope.
