Really? Thought the dragon idents were introduced with the new logo, learn something new...
Here's an old incarnation of TV Ark's S4C page:

Is it supposed to look like the old 'TWO'?

Im really intigued by some of the posts. The fact that people think welsh idents on tv should be well, very sterotypical, welsh. The fact that it tends to be people who live outside Wales who think this is also quite funny. As another poster said the / between S4 and C does make sense as it makes it Channel 4 / Wales translated to english. I think personally the dragon idents are kind of done now. They were really successful but just done. I actually like the buoys ident and also the balloons one in the Senydd (Assembly Building in Cardiff Bay). But the golf one is kinda well weird. I certainly dont think it shows a strong passion for the homeland. Come to think of it none of them do.

Ah but the stereotypical idents told you "This is Welsh" in no uncertain terms, these say pretty much nothing of Wales but then what can? Dragon flame, that's what! Or at least a logo which harkened back, that was a really really nice logo.

It'll follow the BBC1 timeline now, four years of these... erm... 'idents' (unquote), and then we return to something that looks similar to the flamethrower, then we get someone posting spoofs and mock clocks on Youtube...
Seriously, though. I'm not Welsh, but these have lost all of the magic of the old idents - and that logo! How many times do we have to tell design companies that putting a shape in the middle of a line of text does NOT constitute a logo (except in VERY exceptional circumstances)!
Does this make S4C (sorry, S4/ C ) the last UK broadcaster to scrap the clock ident?

OH
My fav is the Penarth Pier one - Im hoping that will look stunning on air! The Senedd one is second best - with the rest all being quite mundane.
The one with the frisbees is awful - the perspective is all wrong and is quite drab with poor stuck on frisbees.
The music on them all is quite uninspiring - even worse than the ITV1 music!
