Those Beat the Star repeats are curious as they go in and out of some breaks using generic slides much like they use with films.

I can only guess it's a way of removing a competition?

I noticed them doing that as well when I switched over one Saturday.

ITV seem to be really struggling for programmes over the next couple of Saturdays with lots of repeats. The X Factor should be back in about 3 weeks tho so things should improve.

Remember though, the plan was for everyone to be enjoying 80degrees+ weather and out having BBQs on a Saturday evening, meaning anything scheduled would get less than 2m viewers and would flop even if they weren't flops

Obviously this hasn't quite worked out

That's a matter of opinion.

Is that kind of comparison legal?

I agree, when they first aired I enjoyed them a lot. Essentially a clip show with guests, but made for a good all round programme.

Saying that maybe it's because I'm harking back to days gone by watching re runs of Fun House & You Bet on Challenge.

Well, when is The Cube starting on ITV? I thought this was going to be on this Summer but obviosuly not?

I imagine they're relatively cheap to make too - and they do seem to have repeat value too, like All Right on the Night. Indeed repackaging some of the best clips from that into a new episodes fronted by Grif Rhys Jones would fill a few slots too.

Incidently, apart from news, ITV only had three hours of original programming all weekend.

The Cube is a new game show that is to be hosted by Phillip Schofield, and I'm sure I've read somewhere that it will be introduced to the Autumn schedule.

How many It'll Be Alright on the Nights have they actually made with Griff? Is it 2 or 3?
