I see ITV are struggling as usual to fill their schedules so have wheeled out this programme again.

But I have just heard a reference to him on the programme as he "couldn't be with us" for the filming (which was in 2007, Jeremy passed away in January the following year).

Should this not have been edited out since he died? It seems a little tasteless. I mean, there was a reference to Jeremy Beadle in a You've Been Framed clip I saw a little while after his death and the audio was edited out (but IIRC the Beadle reference was left in on subtitles).

(By way of context, as your post is a little cryptic if you didn't see the programme, there was a section of the programme about Game For A Laugh, of which Jeremy Beadle was one of the presenters)

I was a little surprised, but I didn't notice whether there was a "This programme was first broadcast in 2007" announcement at the beginning.

I guess on the YBF clip it could be that it was edited because Harry Hill was saying something about him which would be considered inappropriate in the light of his death.

Put The Telly On
I accept ITV often struggle this time of year (they just anticipate the return of X Factor between now and September) but putting this on again was ridiculous. 'Best of TV Burp' or something similar would have been better imo.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to give the ITV2 "Best and Worst" X Factor audition shows a rerun on ITV1 over the summer, leading up to the new series. I think they usually make a week of them, so that's an hour for five weeks sorted.

I thought that show with Stephen Mulhern last week was OK - they could have made a few more of those shows to fill an hour for a few Saturdays.

ITV1 already have a reputation that 'all they show' is reality tv, so showing X Factor spin offs is probably not a good idea

I can't see the problem regarding 'That's what I call Television' besides the one dated reference, I think it's only been repeated once or twice before.

I do however wish they would make new episodes of Airline if they insist on showing them, god knows how old the episodes are that are currently airing in the Tonight slot

If it brings in 4m+ viewers, it's a very good idea in what is an otherwise dead slot. What would you rather - reruns of Star Wars, Harry Potter and James Bond again?

I agree about Airline, and now they've got three 7.30pm slots to fill most weeks they need a few more half-hour programmes that can be slotted into the schedule.

a Gameshow would do the trick! I don't care what you lot think about this, its one of the things missing from ITV.

Play your cards right ( before it got messed around with pre 2000)

those awful day time show probably spend more, and not as fun

They're repeating Beat the Star in the afternoons - perhaps pushing that up to around 6pm wouldn't be a bad idea.

Those Beat the Star repeats are curious as they go in and out of some breaks using generic slides much like they use with films.

I can only guess it's a way of removing a competition?

I noticed them doing that as well when I switched over one Saturday.

ITV seem to be really struggling for programmes over the next couple of Saturdays with lots of repeats. The X Factor should be back in about 3 weeks tho so things should improve.

I thought the generic bumpers were because they have more/less adverts in its current slot than they did in its original slot.
