Taken from the Birthday Show at the start of the year. IIRC it was used alot when CITV first relaunched in 1998, every Friday, but the eventually went.

That brings back a few things to my mind every Friday they had a band on and they would have scrolling titles at the end of CiTV (i think that was the only time to) Surprised

Yeah they had their horrible aston that was white and had a top loads of ovals; red and blue ovals were down the sides too.

This Britany Spears piece was taken from after sept 1998 as they are using the bubble backing; this new look used these as a trailer and had the C on every one with a different word (obvioulsy beggining with c; and minus the c) being to the right of it in blue; the trailers featured one of the words and programmes from the autumn that could be used with that word.

Pre 1998; they had a backgroup of the CiTV logo's letter wobbling basically! But they had lovely backing music and music on the titles.

The credits only rolled on friday's when artists performed; and were usually simple and just mentioned everyone (bar stephen & dannielle) under the title of CiTV team.

Bands performed in this 1998-99 period on this stage on friday afternoons. Even though many bands have been into the CiTV studio post 2000; only one person has performed in their; that being a girl called Jo Breezer; quite a nice song, though obviously didnt get anywhere and she was dropped (Leah & David hosted on the afternoon).

Wasn't Power Rangers only on GMTV or something? I do remember a sh*t cartoon called James Bond Junior if I am not mistaken, but I do recall ITV showing Judge Judy at some point at something like 10.00am. But I do remember they showed He-man and all of the stuff like that. But both TV-am and GMTV used to have Childrens programmes for the summer, I do remember the schedule went a bit like this....

Power Rangers was on GMTV up until the end of series 4. Series 5 and 6 were shown by CITV until ITV gave up on it.

Judge Judy was first shown in the 9:25 slot in 1997. They did it again in 1998, but then started shunting it about left right and centre (I think the only time it's shown on ITV now is in the middle of the night)

I dont understand series numbers.

But Power Rangers was aired on GMTV from the first episode through to the last episode of zeo. At the end of Zeo; they had a few weeks of power rangers gold. At this point DiGGiT was launched in february 1998 and got the saturday morning spot till 9:25 meaning no roon for power rangers!

In March/April time 1998 mashed returned to saturday mornings with Jez and Jarvis; and they shownt Power Rangers Turbo as part of this. When SM:tv started CiTV placed Power Rangers Turbo on sunday mornings but skipped the part when the new group of rangers came in; they just joined it when they were already rangers. SM:tv Live shownt a few episodes of Turbo in 1999 with them creating the characters of sproat ranger; and jam girl. If you never saw this sketch (ant played sproat ranger; with cat playing jam girl - dec had a charcetr one week; though i cant remeber it; it was like an early pokemon ash/misty v gary sketch.)

CiTV shownt Power Rangers in space; though skipped many episodes and then shownt the last one! They later shownt Power Rangers Lost Galaxy; but never finished showing it!

GMTV then got back and got the rights to Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force and Wild Force; all of which they have shownt but never finished showing!

I enjoyed UKool Live as I had finished my GCSE's and it was great to wake up; not have to worry about school and watch this as everyone around me rushed to get to work and school!

I feel that its more the fault of the entire CBBC, not just Scotland, its as though now the BBC has given them their own channel, they are taking away output on terrestrial; presumebly to get more of an audience for the channel; and i wouldnt mind if this week on the channel was more like HOT used to be and wasnt full of repeats of Chuklevision and S Club; and they are just the ones that I can suffer to watch!

Another thing is that they are still pre-recording CBBC until about 8:00 or 8:30 in the holidays. They can't even be bothered to come in early for 6 weeks. It really is going downhill.

Are CBBC using any summer presentation, I notice that CITV are.

And talking about CITV how long have they been using those more lengthy opening titles at 3.15pm?

CiTV started to use summer presentation when they went into the garden; they were hoping to be there for the summer; but the rain came. They will most probably be back there; Id think tomorrow with the weather being nice again!

CBBC hasnt had any summer graphics and no summer programming (e.g. HOT) Even on the channel they are just theming weeks; the only type of holiday programming with a typical CBBC summer feel is the BAM tour where they are going to peoples houses; but this is only on the channel. in the morning and not every day either! About twice a week. Im sure someone forgot to tell CBBC that its the summer holidays!

Yeah, I hate it when they don't finish series - Sailor Moon met the same fate.

They DID finish showing Lost Galaxy by the way - Terra Ventura was destroyed, but they crash landed onto a planet after an evacuation, so nobody died. They also of copurse destroyed their enemies in this two parter.

They didn't skip that many episodes of In Space - and they actually finished it before Fox Kids did!

There was three series of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - then the ten part mini-series Alien Rangers, then season 4 was Zeo. The latest series, Power Rangers Ninja Storm, is series 11, and I expect that will appear on Fox Kids at October Half term, with GMTV to show the first half of that series next year - as usual, I bet they won't finish it!

Ive seen the last episode of lost galaxy; but im sure i didnt see it on CiTV. Got the video; not sure i saw it on tv though. Got the tv recording of the last ep of in space; though I also have videos from foxkids and an official video with episodes that CiTV didnt show!

Did fox kids start broadcasting them after CiTV; as CiTV only shownt them on sundays; foxkids usually shows them everyday; sometimes twice or three times a day! They are repeated wild force for around the sixth time now.

Fox show Power Rangers before ITV - except with In Space (season 6, 1998).

As I already said, Wild Force will be replaced in two months - it started in October Half Term last year, and the new series Ninja Storm is ready. They've got a theme day later this month, so it might even launch in September.

Going back 25 years or so, I seem to recall an edited series of 'Tiswas' being repeated during one of the weekday mornings.

Am I right, or am I confusing with something else.

No, Westy, you are right i'm sure, IIRC, it was definitely Wednesday mornings, from 10.00-12.00, in possibly 1978 and 1979, unsure if it was edited, but I would assume, as it was the summer hols, the usual series would have ended its annual run. I'm not sure even if (the Wednesday showing) it was a national thing as at the time where I used to live you'd get ATV and Anglia, but I don't recall if Anglia showed it.

In this array of multi channel (mainly) cack environment, surely there's room for a 70's and 80's kids shows channel? Even if it shown say 11.00pm - 03.00am, when a lot of nostalgia fans would be glued (to their sets, not necessarily off their heads).

I'm probably going back as much as 30 years but who remembers such goodies as Herge's Adventures of Tin Tin, White Horses, Belle and Sebastian and even Daktari on BBC1
I remember for years it was alternated one year with Belle and Sebastian, then White Horses the next, one then the other year after year!
