God! How do topics go off topic like this? Its amazing!

I think it's quite amusing to watch topics go off topic sometimes. In reality, it's just like a chat down your local... you go from topic to topic without even thinking.

One summer, can we have an all-retro schedule of old childrens' television programmes? Repeating all the old Double Dare episodes would be a good start, along with Why Don't You?, Take Two, We Are The Champions and Clockwise with Darren Day....

Ah yes... Take Two... with Phillip Schofield. Used to love that. A kids version of Points of View wasn't it?

Fascinating fact...

On the subject of Why Don't You..? - when very young, one of the current BBC NI Announcers/Directors made an appearance making sausage whirls.

Aye - Phillip was swoon-inducingly good (he was my first crush!), wonder what the original presenter, Josephine Buchan is doing these days?

In the Tommy Boyd era of CITV, Central provided a summer morning childrens service to ITV, presented from the roof or garden I think. It was presented by Glenn Kinsey and he had guests from CITV shows on with him, Treguard was definatley one of them. I think they had programmes like Garfield, Ox Tales and James Bond Jnr, etc.

Speaking of Tommy Boyd, I think he was perhaps the most mature kids tv presenters at nearly 40 years old back in 1991, the fascination at the moment is for young people who weren't long kids themselves. I would certainly appreciate Tommy's delivery more than some of the braindead youths of today.

Don't know, the last I heard he was sacked from talkSPORT. But the man is a legend, he should be on our screens.

He went to Talk Sport radio, but he got sacked last year after apparently playing an inappropriate song when the news of the death of the Queen Mother was announced. But apparently he has appeared on Five late at night being on Five's coverage of the NFL or MLB, can't remember which one though.
