I have two: Steven Sackur (BBC Washington correspondant) and Keith Mates(Sky News Washington correspondant) - great reporters, with a real flair for their job, I think.
Gavin Esler (BBC News)
John Simpson (BBC News)
Jeremy Bowen (BBC News)
Kate Aide (BBC News)
Jenny Bond (BBC News)
Michael Buerke (BBC News during the ethiopia crisis)
and the one whos been in Pakistan doing some reports but dont know her name
Im a totally dedicated BBC News fan so thats why there is no ITN, Sky News, etc.
She reporting a lot at the moment and I especially like her accent.
She was born in eastern Canada, in Bathurst, New Brunswick, and has a Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a BA Honours Degree from Queen's University at Kingston.
I can't say I found it interesting. Sackur may as well be dead, his reports need a little more flair, to say the least.
Without a tiny doubt it has to be Keith Graves. The Guardian did a special media horoscope on Graves - never been done on a TV reporter before, to my knowledge - so he must be something special. If you don't know who I mean, it's Sky's top Washington correspondent. He knows so much about what he's talking about and it just one of those people you can watch and trust what he's saying.
In the interests of fairness and balance I'm trying to think of a BBC reporter I feel truely impressed with. But I can't, so I won't bother. Ohh no! Wait a moment, now I really don't know her name so some of the BBC knowledgables with have to help me out. She was one of the top reporters on election night, and she presented that Conference Lark on BBC Parliament the other night. Her name begins with a Z, I think, but I can't remember for the life of my who she is. Very good reporter though, not used nearly enough.
