After reading the posts about Toon Disney I thought I'd see what people's opinions were. I'll start the proceedings; Obviously 'Brak', 'Ren and Stimpy', 'Spongebob', 'Fairly Odd Parents', 'Cow and Chicken', 'I.M. Weasel', 'Family Guy', oh and did I mention 'The simpson's'? If I were ten years younger then the list would be considerbly diffrent but the fond memories or 'Thundercats', 'defenders of the Earth', 'Mask' (not the green one), 'Capt' Planet'. And classics for all age groups; 'Top Cat' and 'The Jetson's', never liked the Flintstones oddly. Right I've gone on enough, I think I've missed a few but so far so good.

I'd say Futurama is my favourite as it is always a good cartoon for many ages. I think it has a better story than The Simpson's and is funnier as well. Shame they stopped Futurama and continued The Simpsons. (IMO)

I remember The Simpsons when it first started! They look and sound so different to how they are now...see, that was when I was a kid, and now, even though I'm in my 20's, I still find it compulsive viewing, so it has to be that!

However, I don't think it's fair to ask what is better out of something like Spongebob (which think is a real kids show) and Family Guy, because they're both aimed at completely different audiences.

No need to compare. Just your favourite cartoons. I wouldn't say spongebob was completely for kids, have you seen the movie, there's so many adult jokes in that. and besides, the simpsons is meant to be an adult cartoon but it's watched by children too. The Simpson's has definately lost it's way though, hardly ever talk about the new episodes, just remember the mid-90's, it's hay day.

Family Guy. I'd pick Simpsons but it's getting on now.

Without a doubt Futurama. It's funny, stupid and yet can be extremely intelligent at the same time.

The Simpsons just isn't funny anymore, everything they could possibly do with it has been done, and yet they still carry on.

Family Guy is hilarious, but I can only take it in small doses.

My all-time favourite cartoons were:

The Flintstones
Tom and Jerry
Scooby-Doo
The Jetsons
Top Cat
Looney Tunes (some)

I'd also say Captain Scarlet, but I don't really know whether that is classed as a cartoon.

The Simpsons, or lat least the pre-2000 episodes are definatly the best. But I've also liked South park ("grew" out of it though), The Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Cow & Chicken and plenty of others I can't be bothered to remember at the moment.

Oh god how could i forget Count Duckula. I re-watched some old VHS episodes a few weeks back, it's fantastic. I would say it ties with Futurama as my favourite cartoon of all time. It's amazing how i found something new in it when i watched it as an adult, because there's a lot of adult humour in it as well as child humour, something you just don't get with modern kids programs.

Chorlton and the Wheelies is completely insane, I still think its great now I have it on DVD (ahem), although it doesn't really qualify as a cartoon. But if Chorlton is there then Button Moon deserves a mention as well!

My favourites are Dangermouse, South Park, Simpsons, Futurama and the wonderfully camp Mr Benn as well.
