I wish STV would do something like this
SC
As far as I know the only programme UTV aren't showing on Friday nights is the new series of Airline. It's on ITV1 at 8:30pm, the same time as Gerry Meets which started last week.

Maybe they are starting to time-shift/reschedule to make way for the next series of Gerry Meets and their network opting-out on Friday nights... and I too wish STV and ITV1 Wales made more of their availability to do this on a more regular basis.

"Kelly" in its old form, an hour long (though for most of its life, 90 minutes) chat show, came to an end last December.
The new Gerry Kelly series, "Gerry Meets..." is more or less a condensed version of "Kelly", except the studio is different and only one guest, or group of people, are featured rather than multiple interviews with various guests.

For the first two decades ITV regional companies, even in peak viewing time, largely went their own way for huge chunks of the time. For instance, if Border was screening The Saint, Granada might have Man in a Suitcase or The Baron...or, often, the regional companies would be showing the same series but different episodes. Films were rarely networked in the early days. Sometimes network programmes were screened at varying times. Crossroads, for example, used to be run at around 5.20 on STV but 6.35 on Border. Each local company had its own schedule for children's programmes too...so one might be showing Skippy while another was running Stingray. It meant of course that in overlap reception areas, and there were huge overlaps in the 405 line black and white days, many people had access to two or three alternative "ITV" schedules.
