The Rugby World Cup commences on Friday with coverage on ITV1 and ITV4

As expected ITV Wales, STV and UTV are showing their own teams on ITV1 in the cases when the network coverage has the match on ITV4

This creates some interesting schedules in the nations

On Saturday there is a marathon 3 matches back to back on ITV1, running from 12.10pm to 7.05pm

On Sunday, ITV Wales are showing Wales v Canada (k/o 13:00) meaning viewers in wales will be unable to see the Italian Grand Prix

Later in the evening UTV are showing Scotland v Portugal (k/o 17:00) and Ireland v Namibia (k/o 19:00) which pushes Emmerdale to 9.30, Corrie to 9.00, Britain's Favourite View Live Final to 10.45 and Hell's Kitchen to 11.45. Adrian Logan hosts

STV are showing Scotland v Portugal (k/o 17:00) which means ITV News is pushed to 7.10pm and Emmerdale to Monday night at 7.00 with Monday's moved to Monday at 8.00, meaning Monday's schedule on STV is Emmerdale, Corrie, Emmerdale, Corrie!

There will be more of the similar in the weeks to come

So Emmerdale is only changing its listings in Scottish land. Everything is staying the same in England right.

Yeah, I was wondering, does that mean they will just show a "repeat" of the news shown in the rest of the UK at 6.40, or will it be live for us in Scotland?

Presumably Border will be splitting its coverage and going with STV for its Scottish viewers

Then how can it be Live? Are they going to do it all again for viewers watching a Grampian signal?

Greetings all. Does anybody have a list of hosts, analysts, commentators and reporters please?

Jim Rosenthal will host Live games and Mark Durden-Smith returns to Rugby presenting with highlights. Sky have loaned their main 2 commentators to ITV, this is all I know.
Also Steve Rider will not be presenting due to his F1 and Champions League commitments.

Oooooh, this could get complicated.

Some random jottings:

A) If there was any logic - and it is surely within ITV PLC's control as they own ITV Wales - they could put the grand prix on ITV2, 3 or 4 so that Welsh viewers didn't lose it.
B) The Britain's Favourite View Final Live for UTV (incidentally, are they opting out specifically to show a Scottish game - odd) - if the live vote goes to the wire then presumably UTVland will be given a caption stating that phone lines are already closed when it is broadcast in NI. Otherwise it could be a disaster.
C) While STV's schedule looks a mess, as it avoids the problem just described in B, it's probably a better idea.
D) The news being pushed back - is it not a licence requirement that the news must be broadcast live? If so, then presumably ITN will have to do a separate bulletin for Scotland and NI?
E) The Border Scotland split - this could get horribly complicated, in terms of trying to fit Scottish games in with the network from London, especially as less care is likely to be taken in terms of rescheduling programmes from London.
F) Who's presenting the Scottish coverage? Sports presenters are a wee bit thin on the ground up here, having all been poached by Setanta...

ITV's contract for F1 states that it must be shown on ITV1, except for selected qualifying sessions.

What it means is that UTV viewers will watch the 'Live final' 3 hours later, meaning it won't be live and therefore UTV viewers will be unable to take part.

Welsh terrestrial viewers aren't missing anything. All Wales games are on S4/C. Don't speak Welsh and hate subtitles? Turn the volume down and put FiveLive on the radio and you're sorted.
