Sadly a few more weekday games for the Home Nations to try and make it fairer for the smaller nations - will be interesting to see if they air on ITV across the UK or if they're on ITV4 and on ITV just in the nation playing.
Also notice no Francois Pienaar listed amongst the pundits for I think the first time in 20 years - Bryan Habana ticks the South Africa box instead having been a pundit for C4 last season.

Very anime/tokusatsu/video game inspired
Still, it looks like an amazing promo!
I could imagine the BBC going for something like this for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Either that or they'll use something more traditional like the inkbrush-inspired promo for last year's Winter Olympics in Korea.
BBC's 2002 WC promo was anime inspired, let's not forget!

Usually the generic intro just features an instrumental version of “World in Union” (does that make it “Jupiter” rather than “World in Union” if it has no lyrics?). I’m not sure if anyone other than ITV actually goes to the bother of having someone perform it with lyrics.

I think it is mandated now anyone covering the tournament uses World in Union as their theme.

Will be surprised if they do that.

Fair play then all the home nations games are on ITV across the network. In previous tournaments the odd one has been ITV4 or ITV2 exclusive, except in the nation playing.
He only did the 2015 Rugby World Cup for ITV. As they've had the Six Nations since 2016 fronted by Mark Pougatch and Jill Douglas it's only natural they go with them - though really last time around considering Pougatch was already in place for the football it was surprising they didn't go with him - he covered the tournament for 5 Live IIRC - not sure if it's them or TalkSport or have the radio rights this time.
Am I missing something or have ITV dropped John Inverdale from their team? Was he ever with ITV Rugby or just Roland Garros?

It’s exclusive to 5 Live (with presumably a lot of games on Sports Extra)
