I'm am really pi$$, what is wrong with RED BEE? Why are most of their channel rebranding projects just a logo slapped on screen.

Surely Red Bee isn't entirely to blame here. Like people have already said - RTÉ are the ones paying for it so surely if they weren't happy with the idents, they wouldn't use them. Lets just wait till friday and see what happens.

And I don't like the way we're going to have 'coming up next' animations during programmes...its already bad enough with the massive DOG!

Perhaps the dog will be smaller. The in-vision continuty seens interesting, so I'm going to wait to make a judgment.

Heard about the themes for 5 of the idents on boards; I guess this is it:

Ok : Eat is this one : (maybe has the seagulls too)

Have TG4 done anything to celebrate their 10th birthday? Any special programmes or idents?

They're doing a Nuacht ar feadh Deich mBliana thing after Nuacht tonight at 7 (Maybe they'll use the 10th birthday to introduce a new look to news bulletins), Then there's a highlights show from that music in pubs thing with a name I can't spel.pronounce.

Just noticed - if there are 4 images in each of the RTE1 idents, they might look like ITV1's rejects...

Lastnight after the late news summary they showed a promo for "Brides of Frank", which starts after the rebrand. The promo was just like the current ones, but it began with a blue box around the RTE One logo and ended like this :

TG4 were using special presentation last night for their tenth birthday - with the "TG" flipping over to "10" (so the channel looked like was called 10-4 momemntarly). There was, strangely also a (different) TG 10 logo in use in one promo. Apparently there is an 8pm retrospective slot every night this week.

Meanwhile, the official RTÉ Press Release for the relaunch is here, but there's not much new info we didn't know already.

I couldn't agree with you more, I don't even see why channels are using Red Bee when they pour out 5 minute jobs that could easily be made using Flash and a camera.

I could do better myself
