I know they definately have footage of a woman making bread, a kid drawing/painting on a wall and a teenager searching for stuff in their room. It must be for either idents or another "Part of Life" thing.

They must be keeping the current logo - the current RTE TWO logo was based on it. But then again they did change the news one...

Well it seems its official now - 12 new idents to debut 3rd November reported both in the Indo (needs registerationhttp://www.unison.ie/irish_independent/stories.php3?ca=42&si=1711868&issue_id=14803 ) and sister newspaper the Evening Herald. Apparently reflecting the new Ireland without alienating the traditions of the old (translation: more people idents). The Herald, as usual tries to stir things up by quoting unnamed RTÉ sources that are not happy with the new look.
I would imagine the logo will stay, its the template for most of the RTÉ channel identies now, but then again look what they did to BBC ONE...

That would depend on whether it is RTE that's being rebranded, or just their TV channels
Maybe they're changing the lot like the BBC in 1997

Hmm...Interesting. I hope they aren't ugly! I don't see why they would change the corporate logo, since it still looks fresh and modern.

All I said was that I knew there was x amount of footage from Greystones and that it would be late October (give or take 3 days). I didn't know if there'd be a new logo (computer says no) and no one knows what th graphics will be like - that's the bit Red Bee did. RTE only provided the footage.
Well I was almost right. One website [type RTE1 idents into google] has (tiny) pictures from 4 of the idents. There's one with a kid holding their hand out in front of the sun, one of those fire sparkler things, some blurry coloured lights, and something i can't quite make out. Another one has a woman with hair curlers in eating something (?). Tiny RTE One logo to the left of the screen. No new logo. Not sure if they're anything special but I guess all we've seen is 5 tiny images so far. Mostly look better than the ITV excuses for idents...
Let's get some graphics of our own - that say "SDM007 2 - 0 Seamus823496528134561".

Dear God! I didn't copy them from you I went to the site they were on. . I cannot accept defeat, if there is no basis for losing. I honestly found it. It was a 2 minute difference because I also was reading my mail, and It wasn't my priority to post a bunch of stupid pictures.
