Looks like wedding themed adverts for this break on ITV

Now the BBC has gone off air, ITV can start showing adverts again.

No adverts for almost 5 hours is well beyond what the Ofcom regulations require.

Nice delay on ITV between the live coverage and the big screen in Kensington Palace!

Isn’t no adverts for the whole of the coverage of royal events is exactly what the regulations require? Its got nothing to do with when the BBC are on air.

No you are wrong, it only applies to the formal ceremony

Its not the whole coverage, its the main event that can't have adverts, the build-up can. You just can't have something like "Do you Harry take this lady to be your wedded wife? Find out after the break" sort of thing.

Really liking watching ITV - great coverage in my opinion. Does anyone know why there isn't an 'ITV' logo in the corner?

It seems the UK broadcasters have decided to be very restrained when it comes to graphics and are broadcasting their coverage as clean as possible. Sky News have also switched off their ticker for their coverage.

Must be loss making for ITV but a PSB requirement fulfilled. The ceremony itself probably fulfills ITV’s religious quota for the year 😀

I take it US coverage was full of commercials ?

I suspect quite a lot of them would sit up and notice if my colleague had encountered any problems in his brand new truck!
