Royal Wedding can only be viewed on the BBC. They are and will always be the best for coverage of such big events.

It’s great in UHD, HD can also be made to look good as it does on BBC World News HD

My mother and I are watching the coverage of the wedding on BBC One HD today. We think the coverage of this event has been excellent so far. The pictures from inside & outside the chapel & the views when Megan's car was driven up along the long walk looked incredible. Megan dress's looks stunning. The priest's vestments looks great in HD. The priest's vestments probably looks even more brilliant in UHD if you had a look at Sky Q's picture of the events. The Archbishop of Canterbury is wearing gold vestments for this wedding. How does look in UHD?
I have only seen my first lower third graphics on BBC One just now. They look nice in the light blue. Are they using the Reith typeface?

I think the BBC are the best at producing these types of events. But sadly their self-sabotaging presentation style at these events mean I now watch the BBC-produced footage on rival channels.
The BBC just can't let you soak up the atmosphere - if there's a gap, somebody will have to say something - even when there's nothing to say.
Then there's the relentless throwing to scattered around presenters - who equally have nothing to say.
I dare say the ceremony will largely be fine on all channels - it's just the surrounding material that the BBC insist on buggering about with.

The main chapel audio mix is being done by the main sound supervisor of the BBC's Proms coverage I believe.
I expect it is being mixed in Dolby Atmos, with the BBC taking the 5.1 core. (Most broadcast Atmos just adds a couple of extra speaker feeds, rather than using a full object-based mix as movies do)
It sounds gorgeous in 5.1 on BBC One HD.
