Another of the comedy greats receives his final curtain call.
A sad loss and will be missed.
How fitting that his last work on screen was looking back with fondness at his Two Ronnies career.
And it's a goodnight to him.

SKY news just showed part of it. Could have been all or it.

BBC showing lots of material. However I rather hope that the obituary they use for the 1,6 and 10 ends with 'Four Candles' - which they haven't shown as yet.

Goodnight to a great man. I have to say there's nothing Ronnie Barker did that I didn't enjoy, The Two Ronnies, Porridge, Open All Hours, Clarence etc.
Although the best in my opinion (and his) was Porridge. So many fantastic one-liners and put-downs aimed at his fellow prisoners and wardens. Sheer class.

I was tempted to:
B-B-B-B-Barker's s-s-s-snuffed it;
which I'm certain he would have found funny himself.

I don't believe any tributes have been scheduled as yet... but I'm sure there will be something on BBC ONE in the coming days, maybe even a repeat of one of his programmes... and it would be nice if they could show one of the Two Ronnies specials at Christmas, or UKTV Gold could do an entire day of Two Ronnies, Open All Hours etc...
